About the role
Innovativo Group is a family office that owns and manages high quality assets within the education and property sectors in NZ. Our main childcare brand is Bear Park, which has a proud 40 year history.
Due to parental leave, we are seeking a Payroll Officer to manage the processing of payroll for multiple entities within the Group to ensure our team of approximately 300 employees are always paid accurately, on-time, and compliant with legislation. This is a 12 month fixed-term position from mid-May 2026.
You will have high attention to detail, be reliable with a high level of confidentiality, clear communication, and knowledge of NZ payroll legislation. If you have experience with Crystal Payroll, please highlight this in your application, as we have recently moved from MYOB to Crystal Payroll.
The Role:
Key tasks include:
- Ensuring time sheets are signed off.
- Processing of fortnightly pays on Mondays and Tuesdays.
- Maintaining accurate employee and payroll records.
- Liaising with our People and Culture team regarding employee changes.
- Answering payroll related queries.
- Assisting with statute reporting and filing.
The role is 9 hours a fortnight, 3 hours on Monday and 6 hours on Tuesday every second week. This role is a great opportunity to build on your payroll knowledge.
You will join us at our head office in Remuera, which has onsite parking and is a 5 minute walk from the Newmarket train station.
