The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic self-starter who is motivated to set and &nbsp;achieve goals and take initiative within the workplace. The successful candidate will be critical in reducing manual processing risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, systems automatizations and day-to-day payroll operations. This position will give you the opportunity &nbsp;to grow your payroll and accounting knowledge and experience.&nbsp; This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations and will support broader financial reporting and compliance initiatives.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Process and finalize <strong>payroll runs </strong>(Semi-Monthly, Bi-Weekly, Weekly, and specialized off-cycle runs) for all employees using our primary payroll platforms, <strong>Rippling and ADP</strong>.</li> <li>Verify all timecards, wage computation, statutory deductions, benefits deductions, garnishments, and employee changes for accuracy and compliance.</li> <li>Manage end-to-end processing, including reconciling final payroll previews and submitting funding requests.</li> <li>Serve as the primary subject matter expert for payroll and HRIS systems including <strong>Rippling, ADP, and BambooHR</strong>.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Prepare payroll-related General Ledger (GL) entries into the <strong>NetSuite</strong> accounting system, ensuring accurate cost center allocations.</li> <li>Reconcile payroll accounts on a monthly basis.</li> <li>Monitor and reconcile bank account transactions related to payroll disbursements.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Ensure timely and accurate processing of all federal, state, and local tax remittances, including quarterly and year-end reporting (W-2s, 1099s, 941a reports).</li> <li>Manage <strong>new state registrations for employees</strong> and quarterly <strong>Workers' Compensation (WC) tax reporting</strong>.</li> <li>Administer <strong>401K contribution processing</strong>.&nbsp;</li> <li>Support the <strong>annual 401K audit</strong>..</li> <li>Respond to and resolve employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax forms, reducing the administrative burden on the Accounting Manager.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Education:</strong> Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.</li> <li><strong>Experience:</strong> 2+ years of dedicated payroll processing experience, ideally managing high-frequency (monthly, bi-weekly, weekly) and multi-state payroll.</li> <li><strong>System Proficiency:</strong> Proven, hands-on expertise with major systems including <strong>ADP, Rippling, Fidelity 401K, NetSuite, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.</strong></li> <li><strong>Skills:</strong> Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Familiarity with ADP, Rippling, Bamboo, NetSuite.</li> <li>Professional certification (e.g., Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)).</li> <li>WorkDay Experience</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">New York pay range</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$63,000</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$88,000 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p>At Iterative Health, we’re actively working towards creating an environment that is representative of the diversity of patients our technology serves.
