is reimagining pediatric chronic care, starting with ADHD. After successfully launching our virtual clinic for ADHD and anxiety, we are expanding our pediatric care platform to address other common chronic conditions and are focused right now on Obesity and Overweight management. Our new clinical model is tech-enabled, backed by the best science, and designed to deliver exceptional health outcomes that transform a child's trajectory.
We are seeking a passionate Pediatrician to join our multi-disciplinary clinical team as an Obesity Specialist. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our new program, providing virtual care centered around family-based behavioral therapy and individualized medical management for children and teens (ages 5-17).
Our co-founders and leadership team have deep commitment to clinical excellence and domain expertise in healthcare. Our CEO, , has led two startups and earned her MBA at Harvard Business School. Our Chief Medical Officer, , trained at UCSF and Stanford. Until recently, he was a Medical Director building specialty care services at Kaiser Permanente. Earlier, he worked at IDEO.

Integrated Care Model: Work within a multi-disciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, Master’s level therapists and psychologists to provide integrated, evidence-based care.
Pioneer a New Program: Contribute directly to the development and iteration of our Obesity and Overweight care model, workflows, and clinical tools.
Professional Growth: We encourage clinicians to develop special areas of expertise and become leaders within the team. We provide ongoing training, guidance from experts, and stipends for professional development.

Conduct 60-minute virtual intake appointments to screen for obesity/overweight and determine individualized treatment plans.
Provide comprehensive clinical services, including medication management (e.g., GLP-1s and other anti-obesity medications) and ordering/interpreting diagnostic labs.
Lead our "Positive Parenting for Healthy Weight" Shared Medical Appointment groups
Collaborate with behavioral health colleagues and refer to other services as appropriate
Lead 30-minute medical follow-up appointments to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans.
Complete clinical documentation and administrative work accurately and in a timely manner.
Collaborate with nursing staff on prior authorizations and care coordination.

Licensure: Licensed to practice medicine in California with active DEA registration
Board Certification: Board certified in Pediatrics. Board certification in Obesity Medicine preferred.
Experience: At least 5 years of patient care experience.
Specialized Interest: Deep interest or experience in Lifestyle Medicine, nutrition coaching, and physical activity.
Tech-Savvy: Confidence in using electronic medical records (EMR) and telemedicine tools to deliver virtual care.
Cultural Responsiveness: Experience working with families from diverse backgrounds and a commitment to providing culturally responsive treatment.
Startup Mindset: Excitement about joining a fast-growing startup and iterating on new care models.
Spanish-speaking (to support our upcoming Spanish-language initiatives).
Licensed in additional states (or open to obtaining additional licenses with our support).
Job Type: Full-time (30+ hours)

Compensation and Benefits:
Pay: The target salary for this role will be $220,000-$245,000/year (full-time)
