Our team believes in every client’s ability to achieve recovery and rebuild meaningful, engaged lives in their communities.</div></div><h3><strong>Offering a hiring bonus - $500!</strong></h3> <p><strong>Position</strong>: Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRS)</p> <p><strong>Job Summary: </strong>Peer Recovery Services (PRS) is a key part of Lighthouse’s recovery care, using community-based, individualized support to improve engagement and overall wellness. Services are delivered with empathy, respect, and a focus on self-directed recovery, informed choices, and independence. PRS providers use their lived experiences to guide, support, and empower clients on their recovery journey. &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proactively&nbsp;seek&nbsp;to support individuals in recovery from a substance use disorder.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Services can be provided in the community, client’s home, or treatment facility office.</li> <li>PRS expresses understanding, support and respect for the many paths of recovery an individual client may wish to pursue. Services can be provided in-person or over the phone but not through text.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>PRS must be able to drive and occasionally transport clients.&nbsp;</li> <li>PRS must have a working knowledge of the drug and alcohol treatment system and be willing to assist the peer in accessing appropriate levels of care in consultation with licensed behavioral health clinicians.&nbsp;</li> <li>The PRS must live a life in recovery and demonstrate a commitment to the recovery community.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintaining confidentiality of communication between peer and peer recovery supporters. The confidential nature of this relationship does not extend to areas covered by mandated reporting.</li> <li>The PRS are considered mandated reporters in the State of Ohio.&nbsp;</li> <li>The PRS will serve as a role model, act as a mentor, advocate, and motivator.&nbsp;</li> <li>Serve as group facilitator for various peer led support groups.&nbsp;</li> <li>The PRS must demonstrate an ability to share personal recovery experiences and to develop authentic peer to peer relationships.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain electronic health record, billing sheets, group-sign in and other records as required.</li> <li>Assist recovering persons to identify their personal interests, goals, strengths, and weaknesses regarding recovery.&nbsp;</li> <li>Support connections to community based, mutual self-help groups.&nbsp;</li> <li>Participate and contribute to weekly staffing discussions with clinical and case management.&nbsp;</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Experience/Abilities:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Keeps abreast of community resources, educates clients about those resources.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Promotes&nbsp;a natural&nbsp;support system in the community for clients served.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Promotes progressive pro-social interventions (e.g., client connectedness in the community, involvement in a safe and supportive environment, participation in activities where the person served finds social acceptance, and positive reinforcement to promote recovery).&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Encourages community-based "Wellness and Recovery Action Plan."&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Education:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum high school diploma/ G.E.D.&nbsp;</li> <li>Must possess OMHAS or other designated accrediting body in the <strong>State of Ohio Peer Recovery Support certification and be in good standing.&nbsp;</strong></li> <li>Valid State of Ohio Driver's License and valid car insurance</li> <li>Must pass BCI check, all Corporate Compliance checks, and employment drug screen</li> <li>Must be 25 years or older</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired&nbsp; Experience: </strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Able to respect and maintain confidential information.</li> <li>Demonstrates good interpersonal skills.&nbsp;</li> <li>Good listening, supporting, motivating, encouraging skill sets.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Good in time management, organizing, and able to prioritize activities.</li> <li>Comfortable and dedicated to helping others.</li> <li>Self-directed and self-motivated.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Valid State of Ohio Driver's License and valid car insurance</li> </ul> <p><strong>Schedule Options</strong>: Full time, Tuesday - Friday 12pm - 8pm, Saturday 10am - 6pm&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Compensation Range: </strong><span class="collapsed-field-text">$18 - $20/hr</span></p> <p><strong>Location</strong>: E Broad St Columbus, OH</p><div class="content-conclusion"><div>Our benefits package includes paid time off (PTO and sick time), paid holidays, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), life insurance, paid continuing education with supervision, parental leave, and eligibility for loan forgiveness programs.</div> <p>LBHS is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, disability status, genetics, gender identity and/or expression, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.</p> <p>LBHS adheres to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act as amended, Ohio Civil Rights Act, and all applicable rules and regulations.
