Purpose of the role
TEAM LEWIS is seeking a People Partner to join our Paris office. This is an exciting opportunity for HR professionals and recruiters who are eager to broaden their experience into a generalist HR role. You will play a key part in shaping the employee experience, supporting our people strategy, and ensuring smooth HR operations for our French team. We welcome candidates who are proactive, eager to learn, and able to work independently, regardless of whether you come from a traditional HR or recruitment background.
Key responsibilities
HR Business Partnering
Maintain knowledge and analyse trends in compensation and benefits, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law.
Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service in relation to employee relations matters; manage issues through to resolution
Anticipate and investigate people related issues and report on findings with recommendations, taking into account best practice, law, policies and precedent, coach and support management accordingly.
Employee relations

Talent management
Scale up and refine our people experience to ensure best practices are implemented and establish a great employee journey.
Input to and roll-out talent initiatives created with the global talent team
Promote and help nurture an excellent culture – help identify areas that require improvement, making recommendations and actioning accordingly
Work on people programs to drive employee engagement and inspire a high performance work culture with employee satisfaction
Work closely with the regional & global HR team to ensure all internal initiatives are managed and implemented accordingly.
Advise on and monitor/assess salary levels, rewards and benefits in relation to the industry.
On-boarding
Manages the induction process (including relevant documentation) for all new starters in France, ensuring a smooth induction into TEAM LEWIS
Sends out reminders to line managers for mid and end probationary reviews, flagging any concerns to the HR team
Responds to probation period queries in a timely manner, escalating to the broader HR team, where necessary
Collate responses and organise face to face check in meetings where necessary, flagging any concerns to the HR team
Employee engagement
Oversee (with continual review and enhancement of) the on-boarding and induction process for all new starters, ensuring a smooth introduction to TEAM LEWIS
Ensure regular feedback sessions with new and existing team members to proactively recommend areas of improvement and ensure consistent engagement
Review benefits - make recommendations accordingly to ensure competitiveness
Contribute to, and roll-out, engagement initiatives created with the global HR team
Promote and help nurture an excellent culture – help identify areas that require improvement, making recommendations and actioning accordingly
Reporting, operations, and analysis
Identify useful ad-hoc reports and/or analysis to help drive people related programmes
Be a super-user on the dedicated HR platform with full administrative capabilities; review the system for improvements and ensure that it is being used to its full capacity
Ensure regular audits of the server files and HR platform to ensure that all documentation is present and that information is accurate.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with French labor laws, collective agreements, and company policies
Monitor changes in employment legislation and proactively update policies and practices
Manage works council (CSE) relationships and negotiations as required
General
Supports the Global HR team on initiatives and projects
Works with the HR team to review and update recruitment policies and procedures
Provides up-to-date management information and global monthly recruitment reporting
Regularly attends LEWIS training sessions to enhance skills and develop knowledge
Day-to-day, ad hoc and project administrative duties
Ensures all record keeping is complete, up to date and accurate
Promotes and helps nurture an excellent culture and be an ambassador for the LEWIS brand
About you
Minimum 3 years' experience in HR, people management or recruitment.
Strong HR generalist skill set – ideal if gained within an international company in a fast moving, dynamic and creative industry e.g. PR, advertising, marketing, broadcast, recruitment
Collaborative self-starter with ideas and initiative, who is goal driven
Proficiency in both French and English (written and spoken)
Creative thinking/“outside the box” mindset in providing solutions and solving problems
Well organised; ability to prioritise; attention to detail; a pragmatic approach
Energetic, confident, charismatic, and a sense of humour! - a credible team player.
