<p><span data-contrast="auto">The 2028 Games mark the return of the Summer Games to the U.S. for the first time in 32 years and Los Angeles’ third time hosting an Olympic Games and first time welcoming the Paralympic Games. <h3>Senior Associate, Permitting</h3>
<p>The Senior Associate, Permitting will play a critical role in the planning, coordination, and execution of permitting activities required for the successful delivery of Olympic and Paralympic venues and related infrastructure for the LA28 Games. This position will support the acquisition, management, and compliance of permits, approvals, licenses, and regulatory requirements across temporary and permanent venues, operational sites, and overlay construction. </p>
<p>Reporting to the Manager, Permitting within Venue Infrastructure, the Senior Associate will collaborate closely with internal functional areas, public agencies, consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, and government stakeholders to ensure all permitting milestones are achieved on schedule and in compliance with applicable regulations. </p>
<p>The ideal candidate is a highly organized project professional with strong knowledge of California permitting processes, municipal approvals, building and safety regulations, environmental compliance, and large-scale event or construction delivery. </p>
<h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Permitting Execution & Management</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559740":278}"> </span></p>

<li><span data-contrast="auto">Support the management of the permitting process for Olympic and Paralympic venues, temporary structures, overlay installations, and operational facilities</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Oversee comprehensive permitting schedules aligned with construction, operational readiness, and Games-time milestones</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Identify and track required permits and approvals across city, county, state, and federal jurisdictions</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Manage the tracking of permit statuses, submission deadlines, approvals, inspections, renewals, and close-out requirements</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Maintain permitting workflows, reporting systems, and document control processes</span></li>
</ul>

<li><span data-contrast="auto">Coordinate and track permit reviews, inspections, plan checks, and regulatory meetings</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Assist in facilitating issue resolution between agencies, contractors, consultants, and project teams</span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Cross-Functional Collaboration</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559740":278}"> </span></p>

<li><span data-contrast="auto">Partner with City Operations, Security, Transportation, Energy, Legal, Government Relations, Sustainability and other functional areas to align permitting requirements with operational needs</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Support venue planning and design reviews and constructability assessments</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Coordinate with third-party consultants, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure permit-ready documentation</span></li>
</ul>

<li><span data-contrast="auto">Maintain detailed permit logs, dashboards, and schedules</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Prepare status reports for leadership and stakeholders</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Monitor permitting budgets, consultant scopes, and associated agency fees</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Help identify and report critical path permitting risks</span></li>
</ul>
<h3>Background & Requirements:</h3>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Urban Planning, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">4+years of experience in permitting, planning, construction management, infrastructure delivery, or regulatory compliance</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience with permits for large-scale construction, sports venues, entertainment events, or public events</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Understanding of California permitting processes and regulatory frameworks</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience working with government agencies and AHJs</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Excellent project management and organizational skills</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Bluebeam, and project management software</span></li>

<p>The annual base salary range for this position is $73,000.00 - $95,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.</p>
