Personal Injury Associate Attorney

<p>Windsor Troy Law, LLP, is a civil litigation firm that focuses on plaintiff's side personal injury and school/government liability cases. &nbsp;As an Associate Attorney at Windsor Troy Law, LLP, you will have the opportunity to focus on case strategy and professional development, instead of time-consuming tasks that most firms give their newer lawyers. The right candidate will have experience taking, defending and preparing for depositions and will have an interest in attending court hearings and mediations. The Associate Attorney will be given mentorship by senior attorneys and will have the opportunity to participate in focus groups, trial preparation and attorney skill programs. &nbsp;We provide a lot of support to our attorneys, including AI technology that aims to improve productivity and efficiency. Trial participation is expected, but we will transition you into that part of the practice.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Manage a caseload of various types of personal injury matters in litigation</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients, including filing complaints</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Draft meet and confer letters to opposing counsel regarding discovery disputes</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Prepare clients for depositions and other applicable hearings</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Take and defend depositions throughout the course of litigation</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Prepare and respond to motions, including dispositive motions</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Attend court appearances</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Negotiate settlements for personal injury cases</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Direct and support investigation on all assigned litigation matters</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">1-2 years of Personal Injury Law experience</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong background in Personal Injury Litigation, including pre-litigation case management and discovery</span></li> <li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Juris Doctor degree and current good standing with CA State bar is required.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Workers Compensation experience is a plus&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Written Discovery skills</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Conducting Depositions&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>Salary: $<span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">80,000 - $160,000 a year</span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Here at Windsor Troy Law, LLP, <strong>we offer medical, dental, and vision insurance.
