Our team is expanding. We are looking for the perfect person to bridge between the pharmacy and retail sides of our business. This hybrid Pharmacy Assistant and Guest Services Assistant role is a part time position of 4 days per week. 

Pharmacy/health services experience is preferred but not required. 1-2 years of customer service experience with transferable skills is welcomed. We use progressive technology and software, and run a systemized operation allowing for freedom off the job.

What you bring to the Epic Pharmacy team

-you must have secure, long term housing in community

-strong verbal and written communication skills – must be fluent in English

-high level of moral judgment for handling confidential information

-excellent client service and customer care skills

-comfortable with multitasking, prioritizing workload and working in a fast paced environment

-highly attentive to detail and well organized 

-proficiency with basic computer skills and programs (ie. Gmail and Google suite, MS Word) and ability to learn new simple softwares  

-capable of communicating regularly and openly with team members in a professional and personable manner

-attention to detail and willingness to do repetitive tasks (like counting pills and filing)

-must be able to lift up to 50lb and stand for long periods of time on shift

-interest in community connection and health promotion


Pharmacy/Guest Services Assistant Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all systems in the pharmacy/health centre are implemented and running efficiently. 
  • Support pharmacist for provision of excellent clinical services and pharmaceutical care
  • Process clinically reviewed and approved medication orders for distribution to patients, clients, or residents.
  • Prepare and process prescriptions (Enter orders. Count, measure, package or re-package medications and compound various sterile pharmaceutical products according to established procedures. Pre-package oral, liquid and topical medications into unit-of-use format.).
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of dispensed prescriptions and personal health information in the PharmaNet patient record.
  • Maintain inventory stock levels and perform clerical duties as assigned. 
  • Complete daily and weekly medication wholesale orders. 
  • Present a professional and charismatic presence on the floor
  • Ensures an outstanding guest experience for customers. 
  • Complete patient or client care in a confidential and professional manner. 
  • Assist in ensuring retail pricing is done appropriately and invoices are received accurately. 
  • Participate in inventory monitoring and stocking
  • Manage day-to-day aspects of pharmacy/health care centre (i.e. maintenance, cleanliness, customer service, daily correspondence, and inventory).  
  • Ensure accurate data entry of client information. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
