Pharmacy Technician (PrimeRx Experience Preferred) RVA

Position Overview:
Remedies Pharmacy is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician with experience using PrimeRx pharmacy software. The ideal candidate will assist with prescription processing, refill management, insurance-related tasks, and communication with healthcare providers to ensure patients receive timely and accurate service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter and process prescription information accurately in PrimeRx.
• Manage and process automatic prescription refills for patients.
• Contact physicians' offices to obtain prior authorizations and prescription approvals.
• Verify prescription information and ensure compliance with pharmacy procedures.
• Assist pharmacists with prescription workflow and patient support.
• Communicate professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Resolve prescription-related issues and follow up on pending requests.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations.
• Support daily pharmacy operations and administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Previous Pharmacy Technician experience required.

• Experience using PrimeRx pharmacy software strongly preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling prescriptions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience handling prior authorizations and insurance-related pharmacy processes is a plus.
• Knowledge of pharmacy terminology and prescription workflow.
