<p>As Interpath Laboratory steadily grows, we are continually looking for dedicated <strong>Phlebotomist/Processor </strong>candidates to join our team.&nbsp; Ideal candidates will possess excellent people skills, a collaborative spirit, and thrive in a busy setting, supporting both our patients and team goals.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide excellent customer service, answer phones, and monitor instrumentation alarms.</li> <li>Perform venipuncture for blood collection and obtain additional specimen types as required.</li> <li>Prepare all samples for lab testing and screening to maintain specimen integrity.</li> <li>Verify specimen information, perform data entry, and properly identify patient information.</li> <li>Receive, process, and package samples for referral labs while ensuring compliance with safety protocols, HIPAA policies, and Medicare rules.</li> <li>Cover work shifts at different sites as needed to ensure smooth operations.</li> <li>Maintain consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent.</li> <li>Minimum of 1 year of on-the-job phlebotomy experience.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.</li> <li>High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.</li> <li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to work in a laboratory setting with automated equipment emitting ambient sounds.</li> <li>Ability to hear alarms and respond timely to safety needs.</li> <li>Regular handling of potentially infectious samples with necessary protective gear.</li> <li>Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, twist, and walk on uneven surfaces throughout the day.</li> <li>Frequent bending, extended standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds.</li> <li>Flexibility to work extended hours or overtime as needed.</li> <li>OSHA Category: Exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues; Hepatitis-B vaccination offered.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About Us:</strong></p> <p>Interpath Laboratory is a family-owned and operated clinical and anatomic pathology laboratory serving communities across Oregon, Washington, Nebraska, and Idaho.
