PHOTO CLUB LEADER – SENIORS’ SERVICES

The West Vancouver Community Services Department has an opening for a casual Photo Club Leader at the Seniors Activity Centre (SAC). Reporting to the Program Coordinator – Seniors’ Services, this position will be responsible for:
- Scheduling and organizing weekly club meetings for the fall, winter, and spring sessions
- Sending weekly email updates to members with announcements and upcoming events
- Coordinating with presenters and volunteers to organize meetings and presentations
- Planning and coordinating approximately three photography outings per year (one per session)
- Acting as Master of Ceremonies (MC) during meetings, introducing presenters and sharing announcements
- Coordinating with volunteers responsible for the photo display wall and greeting card sales
- Maintaining communication with the Seniors’ Centre regarding scheduling
The preferred candidates will possess: Strong communication, time management and organizational skills; interest or passion for photography; experience leading meetings and coordinating activities; ability to work effectively and proactively with volunteers, staff and the public; ability to take direction and work both independently and collaboratively as part of a larger team.
Candidates should be available to work Thursday afternoon shifts.
The successful candidates will be required to supply an acceptable police information check and a copy of their credentials.
