An Ofsted “Outstanding” state secondary school in Gateshead is recruiting a full‑time Physics Teacher for January 2026.
Location: Gateshead, Tyne & Wear
Start Date: January 2026
Salary: MPS/UPS scale, dependent on experience

Your Role:
• Deliver rigorous Physics lessons, including practical and theoretical components
• Support pupils’ progress through assessments, feedback, and interventions
• Engage students in extra‑curricular STEM activities: fairs, clubs, project work
• Contribute to department development and resource planning
The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Hold QTS with Physics specialism
• Demonstrable experience or potential in teaching Physics at GCSE and A‑Level
• Strong lab practice and ability to inspire students in scientific enquiry
• Legal right to work in the UK
