About the role

Merchandise Planner — Where Numbers Meet the Runway

Some people see a spreadsheet. You see a story — what's selling, what's stalling, and exactly what to do about it. You're the rare mix of analytical brain and fashion instinct, the person who can look at a season's data and feel where it's heading. If turning numbers into smart, profitable decisions is your idea of a good day, we should talk.

The role, in one line

You'll own the plan behind the product — deciding what we buy, how much, when it lands, and how it flows from launch to clearance. Get it right, and the whole brand wins.

What you'll actually run

You'll build the budgets and forecasts that steer a gender and class within the team, then back every buying decision with commercial analysis that makes the call obvious. You'll quantify "the Buy," manage the seasonal buy-plan so the right options land in the right quantities, and keep a sharp eye on inventory so nothing sits longer than it should.

You'll live in the full product lifecycle — calling the moves on allocation, replenishment, markdowns, regroups, and reorders. When something's underperforming, you'll spot it early and act. When something's flying, you'll chase it. And you'll close every season with a clear-eyed review: what worked, what didn't, and what we do differently next time.

Behind it all, you'll deliver reporting that people actually trust — consistent, on time, and genuinely useful for store and brand performance.

You'll also lead

You'll bring a small team with you — running meetings and 1:1s, coaching and developing your people, celebrating the wins, and handling the harder conversations when they come. You set the tone.

You'll thrive here if you have

  • 3+ years as a planner or in inventory management (fashion or apparel retail a real plus)

  • A genuinely analytical, data-driven mind — you take initiative to dig into why products perform

  • Commercial instinct in merchandising and a feel for customer behaviour and trends

  • Advanced Excel and a comfort with databases and big data sets that borders on enjoyment

  • Razor-sharp attention to detail and the organisation to juggle a lot at once

  • Strong communication and a team-first attitude

  • A fashion degree (nice to have, not a dealbreaker)

Why you'll love it

This isn't back-office number-crunching. Your decisions shape what customers see, what they buy, and how the brand performs. You'll have real ownership, real influence, and a front-row seat where commerce and creativity collide.

If you read product like a language and back your instincts with data, this is your role. Let's talk.
