This role supports a safe and secure environment across the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living through proactive patrol, monitoring, and responsive service.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  <ul> <li>Monitor and authorize the entrance of employees, visitors, and others to maintain campus security. </li> <li>Patrol the grounds and perimeter; observe for unusual activity or safety hazards; secure doors and windows. </li> <li>Control and enforce vehicle and pedestrian access throughout campus grounds. </li> <li>Monitor staff parking lots for compliance with parking policies. </li> <li>Respond to door alarms, elopement alerts, and fire alarms; investigate and take appropriate action. </li> <li>Assist during emergencies and contact police, fire departments, or other emergency responders as needed. </li> <li>Receive, inspect, and sign for courier packages, mail, and deliveries. </li> <li>Complete daily activity logs and incident reports documenting irregularities such as damage, theft, unauthorized persons, or other incidents. </li> <li>Answer the main telephone line when the switchboard is closed; take messages and provide information as appropriate. </li> <li>Monitor Security Operations Center (SOC) cameras and dispatch responses to alarms, alerts, and suspicious activities. </li> <li>Assist with equipment checks and basic operational support in mechanical rooms as needed. </li> <li>Respond to after-hours maintenance calls to assess and communicate needs. </li> <li>Maintain a professional appearance and provide high-level customer service. </li> </ul> JOB DETAILS  <ul> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="2" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"multilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="1" data-aria-level="1">Pay Rate: $22.85-$26.71 per hour</li> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="2" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"multilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="1" data-aria-level="1">Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week</li> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="2" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"multilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="1" data-aria-level="1">Shift Schedule: Day | 7:30 AM-4:00 PM </li> </ul> REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS  <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required. </li> <li>Current and valid California Guard Card required. </li> <li>Three (3) years of security guard experience preferred; healthcare experience a plus. </li> <li>Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or control room preferred. </li> <li>Demonstrated ability to build rapport with residents, staff, visitors, and volunteers. </li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li> <li>Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions in English. </li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. </li> <li>Flexible schedule availability. </li> <li>Ability to multitask and remain attentive at assigned post. </li> </ul> PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS  <ul> <li>Ability to patrol campus grounds regularly and work outdoors in varied weather conditions. </li> <li>Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. </li> <li>Ability to respond quickly to alarms and emergency situations. </li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone. </li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><h1>Our investment in you.</h1> Full Benefits (Medical, Dental, & Vision), 403(b) Retirement Plan, Paid Time Off (PTO), Tuition Reimbursement, Commuter Benefits, Weekday Shuttle Services to and from Glen Park Station. <h1 style="line-height: 1;">San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living is committed to employing a diverse and inclusive workforce, and provide Equal Employment Opportunity for all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a protected veteran, genetic information, status as a qualified individual with a disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.</h1> <h1 style="line-height: 1;">Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.</h1></div>
