Platform Engineer (Cloud)

The team focuses on building and evolving an Internal Developer Platform that enables secure, automated, and self-service cloud capabilities. You will collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Security, and cloud users to improve developer experience and platform reliability.</p> <p><strong>Your Future Role within QRT</strong><br>You will:</p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and manage platform APIs to automate cloud workflows and enable self-service capabilities</li> <li>Build backend services in Go and/or Python to support automated provisioning and platform functionality</li> <li>Write and maintain automated tests to ensure safe and reliable execution of platform workflows</li> <li>Contribute to platform observability, including logging, monitoring, and tracing</li> <li>Build and operate services on Kubernetes (EKS)</li> <li>Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Security, and internal users to deliver scalable and secure platform capabilities</li> <li>Contribute to architectural and technical decisions as the platform evolves</li> </ul> <p><strong>Your Present Skillset</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer or in a similar role with a focus on AWS</li> <li>Strong programming skills in Python and/or Go, with experience writing production-grade code</li> <li>Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs</li> <li>Experience writing and maintaining automated tests</li> <li>Experience with workflow or orchestration tools such as Temporal or AWS Step Functions</li> <li>Experience building and operating services on Kubernetes (EKS)</li> <li>Solid understanding of cloud architecture and distributed systems fundamentals</li> <li>Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform</li> <li>Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices</li> <li>Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams</li> </ul> <p><br>QRT is an equal opportunity employer.
