<h2><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Platform Engineer, Test</strong><strong><br></strong><strong>Location: Austin</strong></span></h2> <h3><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>About the Role</strong></span></h3> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The Platform Engineer, Test at inKind is responsible for owning and evolving the testing platform that underpins the quality and velocity of every product we ship. This role exists to ensure that engineering teams can move quickly and confidently — backed by automated testing infrastructure that is fast, reliable, and trusted across web, mobile, and backend services.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">This is a deeply technical, hands-on role with meaningful ownership. You will design and build the frameworks, harnesses, and CI/CD systems that engineers rely on every day to verify their changes. You will help define what "tested" means at inKind and partner with software engineers to make our applications easier to test from the start.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">At inKind, engineering operates through small, autonomous pods that own products and outcomes end-to-end. Rather than acting as a centralized gatekeeper, you will enable every pod to deliver high-quality software independently by providing the tooling, standards, and infrastructure that scale across the organization. Your success will be measured not only by the quality of the testing platform itself, but by how effectively engineering teams can move with confidence.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">You'll work closely with application engineers, quality engineers, product managers, and engineering leaders, but your primary focus will be the platform itself: the frameworks, infrastructure, tooling, and pipelines that make high-quality software possible at scale.</span><br><br></p> <h3><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Role Responsibilities</strong></span></h3> <h4><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Testing Platform &amp; Frameworks</strong></span></h4> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Own and evolve inKind's web and mobile testing platforms, including framework selection, architecture, and long-term direction</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Design and maintain automation frameworks using industry-standard tooling</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Build and maintain harnesses for unit, integration, and UI testing</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Establish reusable testing patterns that can be adopted consistently across pods</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Partner with engineering teams to improve testability and reduce friction in the development process</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Help define testing standards and best practices that scale across multiple product teams</span></li> </ul> <h4><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>CI/CD &amp; Developer Experience</strong></span></h4> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that execute tests reliably and surface failures clearly</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Build guardrails such as coverage requirements, quality gates, and automated checks that support engineering quality</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Continuously improve pipeline performance, reliability, and developer feedback loops</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Own the operational health of testing infrastructure, including reliability, scalability, and cost management</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Reduce friction for engineers by improving tooling, documentation, and onboarding experiences</span></li> </ul> <h4><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Collaboration &amp;
