About the role
Job Overview:
The Project Engineer will be key for delivery of a project and its deliverables. In the process he / she will be responsible for meeting the project specifications and manage stake holders for successful delivery of the project. This role requires technical know-how of an EV vehicle mainly on Electric Powertrain, Engineering drawings and Requirements management and Product development life cycle. Experience in Project planning, Cost management and Supplier/stake holder management is beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Own e-kit deliverables and ensure they are delivered (Cradle to Grave) successfully
- Understand scope of the project, plan project activities to meet delivery deadline and track till the end
- Able to prioritise activities based on program status for Time, Cost & Performance (TCP) requirements
- Assess validation requirements and results for thorough verification of e-kit specifications
- Track progress of the project and highlight project risk in time to senior management for timely decisions
- Able to differentiate must want and good to have requirements and negotiate delivery of these requirements from stake holders independently
- Understand technical shortfalls and its impact on customers to do Risk assessment and highlight concerns to right stakeholders
- Identify and coordinate with stake holders for negotiating timely delivery of activities planned
- Project planning, prioritisation and timely delivery of planned activities
- Risk identification and reporting for timely review with stake holders and plan escalations when required
- Prepare project reports with details relevant to program and provide information relevant for management for critical decisions
Skills Required
- Functional:
-
- Knowledge of Engineering CAD / DMU review
- Knowledge of Electric Vehicles architecture, Power electronics, DFMEA & Problem-solving abilities
- Experience in Product development life cycle.
- Project management expertise is plus (Microsoft project, Task monitoring, Negotiation skills & Critical Path Monitoring)
