Playout Director

What You'll Be Doing:

• Loading, preparing, and transmitting daily playout schedules.
• Executing scheduled live events to ensure accurate broadcast delivery.
• Managing live event changes, overruns, and underruns, and generating EPG reports.
• Using standby material and managing schedule contingencies.
• Monitoring and quality-controlling all incoming and outgoing broadcast signals.
• Ensuring all media assets are available and liaising with graphics and production teams for missing or incorrect content
• Recording and editing content for same-day turnaround
• Anticipating and resolving faults quickly to minimise on-air disruption.
• Actioning disaster recovery procedures when required.

What You'll Bring:

• Proven experience in live transmission or broadcast operations, ideally within sports.
• Proficiency with broadcast automation systems (e.g., Morpheus ICE UX).
• Strong understanding of file-based workflows, encoding, and streaming technologies.
• Meticulous attention to detail with clear communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a live, high-pressure environment.
• Understanding of broadcast compliance and technical standards.
• Calm, solutions-driven mindset with flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and events.
• Knowledge of IP protocols and IP content delivery workflows.
• Spanish or Italian language skills are beneficial but not essential.
