About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of the PMH Department, ensuring SMT line materials are efficiently organized, labeled, and staged to support production schedules.
- Support Material Handlers in executing their duties, providing guidance, on-the-job training, and performance feedback.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with advanced MSD (Moisture Sensitive Device) management protocols, including monitoring exposure times and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Maintain and audit the accuracy of WMS system records, including material scanning, inventory reconciliation, and location management.
- Coordinate timely movement of finished goods between production and warehouse, ensuring adherence to schedule and alignment with logistics requirements.
- Champion best practices in SMT operations, including reel merging, offline feeder loading, and changeover efficiency.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication between Production, Warehouse, and Engineering teams to resolve material-related issues and improve material flow processes.
- Schedule and lead regular inventory cycle counts, audits, and variance investigations to support inventory accuracy and traceability.
- Implement and sustain 5S standards across all PMH-managed areas, driving a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
- Analyze material consumption trends and collaborate with Planning and Purchasing teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce material shortages.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures for material handling and inventory processes.
- Support new process rollouts and continuous improvement initiatives across the PMH Department.
- Provide reports and feedback to PMH supervisors and managers, identifying risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred
- 1+ years experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment required
- Experience with inventory management systems preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
