Power Platform & AI Solutions Architect

The role:

The Power Platform & AI Solutions Architect leads the architecture, design and delivery of business applications, workflow automation, and AI-enabled solutions primarily on the Microsoft stack. The role also leads the company’s Power Platform governance framework, supporting the adoption of Microsoft 365, Copilot, Power Platform and AI capabilities across the company.

The role is additionally responsible for governing the platform through the Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC), including environment management, monitoring, and policy enforcement.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and deliver scalable business applications, workflow automation, and AI-enabled solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Copilot Studio), translating business needs into well-architected technical solutions
• Lead the design and delivery of AI use cases on the Microsoft stack - Copilot Studio agents, AI Builder, Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Foundry, and Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility
  
• Deliver priority workflow automation and low-code solutions aligned to business requirements, prioritising governance, security, and supportability
• Coordinate and deliver Conduit Re’s internal Microsoft 365, Copilot, Power Platform, and AI enablement programme as the in-house Microsoft Certified Trainer
• Maintain solution documentation, architectural standards, and audit-ready evidence for Power Platform and AI solutions in line with BMA regulatory expectations
• Review the current catalogue of solutions and recommend rationalisation, re-platforming, or retirement where appropriate
• Collaborate with the cloud engineering, security, and data teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, identity, and data governance standards

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Proven delivery as a Power Platform solution architect or senior developer, with hands-on experience across Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Copilot Studio
• Demonstrable AI delivery on the Microsoft stack - Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Foundry, AI Builder, and Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility
• Strong software development background, with experience translating business needs into well-architected, supportable solutions
• Experience operating a Power Platform Centre of Excellence, including DLP, Managed Environments, and ALM practices
• Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), comfortable designing and delivering internal training across Microsoft 365, Copilot, Power Platform, and AI to mixed audiences
• Strong stakeholder engagement, process-optimisation, and solution design skills, with the ability to lead workshops and translate requirements end-to-end
• Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect (PL-600), Power Platform Developer (PL-400), Azure AI Engineer (AI-102), or related certifications are preferred
• Financial services, insurance, or reinsurance background is strongly preferred
• Agile delivery experience is strongly preferred
• Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and the wider data platform is essential
• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview for data governance, information protection, and compliance is an asset
• Strong cyber security mindset, with awareness of the threat landscape facing financial services and the controls needed to secure AI and low-code solutions
