Within RSC Operation oranization, reporting to Central PME Director (Process & Manufacturing Engineering), the PME Harnesses Manager team will have the duty to develop Harnesses skills across ALSTOM Sites - RSC (Rolling Stock and Component), ensuring below main missions:

  • Establish and Deploy “Harnesses Metier” standards cross RSC sites.
  • Develop Expertise network across Site
  • Strengthen Harnesses Electrical Requirement & Design for Manufacturing in collaboration with Engineering and EDC (Electrical Design Centre)
  • Develop and implement strong relationship with Train Electrical
  • Align Special Processes Crimping networks initiatives with Harnesses métier needs / propose innovations
  • Support sourcing, Quality and Supply Chain as industrial Harnesses expertise
  • Robust Rex (Return Of Experience) management within Harnesses Metier cross sites
  • Support projects on demand
  • Participate of Electrical Special Processes Crimping / Shielding reflexion

 

Main responsabilities

1/ Lead & Coordinate WCM Harnesses Network through Region & sites leaders :

  • Define standard métier rules
  • Capitalize Return of Experience
  • Develop Harnesses competencies and associated training plans cross sites.
  • Consolidate Harnesses industrial means data base on RSC sites with CoE Interiors
  • Support Site & Project by defining best organization &/or support

 2/ Robust interfaces with Engineering on Harnesses scope involving EDC:

  • Ensure good WoW between Harnesses sites organization and Engineering/EDC
  • Define standard manufacturing processes for a better product x process definition
  • Strengthen Harnesses industrial validation during Design/Gate Reviews

 3/Manage Harnesses Process and Manufacturing Engineering network:

  • Define the industrial management plan including manufacturing requirements
  • Align RSC sites on standard Manufacturing processes.
  • Capitalize best practices
  • Define & Support deployment of Standard Manufacturing Process (SMP) / Standard Manifacturing Layout (SML) / Standard Method Time (SMT)

Required profile

Technical Competencies

Technical Back-ground: Good Train / Component, products / processes knowledge.

Strong Indus Harnesses knowledge: Especially Process & Manufacturing Engineering domain

Global understanding of overall internal processes (Projects, Engineering, Industrial, R&D …).

Design for manufacturing / costing mindset                                               

 

Soft Skills

Ability to analyze in extracting essentials facts

Ability to synthesize in preparing clear presentation and reporting to management.

Good communication skills

Decision maker, drive to achieve results, ability to put organization under tension.

Convince and influence (internal organization) towards Industrial targets.

 

Experience :

10 years’ experience in Railway industry (Rolling Stock and/or Component) within Industrialization organization. A previous position on one manufacturing site is key.
