About the role
<p class="p2">The Junior Procurement Coordinator supports Allied Maker’s buying team with day-to-day coordination, inventory management, and purchasing tasks. This is a hands-on role: on any given day, it spans purchase order follow-up, vendor communication, and walking the floor to verify stock levels physically. It is an excellent foundation for a career in operations, procurement, or supply chain in a real workshop environment.</p>

<h3><span class="s1"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></h3>
<p class="p3"><strong>Purchasing Support</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Create and issue purchase orders in NetSuite based on MRP signals, department requests, and senior buyer direction</li>
<li>Follow up with vendors on acknowledgements, ship dates, and shipping documentation</li>
<li>Maintain clean PO records, part/vendor cross-references, and pricing data in NetSuite</li>
</ul>
<p class="p3"><strong>Inventory & Stock Checks</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Perform regular physical stock checks, walking bin locations and comparing physical quantities to system counts</li>
<li>Support cycle counts and end-of-period inventory counts</li>
<li>Partner with Pre-Production Coordinators to maintain accurate bin locations and organization</li>
</ul>
<p class="p3"><strong>Coordination Across Teams</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Work closely with and assist the Quality Control department for QC'ing parts</li>
<li>Coordinate with Receiving to resolve PO and packing slip mismatches</li>
<li>Escalate shortages and delivery risks to senior procurement and affected teams early</li>
<li>Help expedite parts for custom orders or time-sensitive builds</li>
</ul>
<p class="p3"><strong>Data & Housekeeping</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Run basic reports (open POs, aging parts, stock positions) and flag items needing attention</li>
<li>Maintain organized vendor contact records and part-level notes</li>
</ul>

<h3><span class="s1"><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></span></h3>
<ul>
<li>0–2 years of experience in procurement, inventory, warehousing, or operations (internships acceptable)</li>
<li>Willingness to spend time on the shop floor verifying and locating parts</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple small tasks</li>
<li>Comfortable with spreadsheets, email, and ERP-based data entry</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication</li>
<li>Physically able to stand, walk, climb a ladder, and lift up to 35 lbs</li>
</ul>

<h3><span class="s1"><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></span></h3>
<ul>
<li>Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field</li>
<li>Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP/WMS systems</li>
<li>Exposure to manufacturing, lighting, furniture, or custom goods environments</li>
</ul>

<li>Base salary range: $55,000 – $68,000 annually (based on experience)</li>
