About the role
<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Manager to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process for our retail operations, ensuring that we source high-quality products at competitive prices. The Retail Procurement Manager will work closely with suppliers, and internal stakeholders to optimize supply chain efficiency and drive profitability.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Cost Management:</strong> Analyze pricing structures and market conditions to negotiate favorable terms and pricing. Implement cost-saving initiatives and monitor procurement budgets.</li>
<li><strong>Supplier Management:</strong> Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to establish and maintain partnerships. Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contracts and service level.</li>
<li><strong>Strategic Sourcing:</strong> Develop and execute sourcing strategies to meet the organization's procurement objectives. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and industry trends.</li>
<li><strong>Inventory Coordination:</strong> Collaborate with distribution management and suppliers to forecast demand. Ensure optimal stock levels are maintained to meet brand demands without excessive overstock.</li>
<li><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration:</strong> Work closely with distribution management, manufacturers, store design, and store operations teams to align procurement efforts with business strategy. Communicate procurement updates.</li>
<li><strong>Compliance and Risk Management:</strong> Ensure that procurement activities comply with company policies, and legal requirements. Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.</li>
<li><strong>Performance Metrics:</strong> Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement activities. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.</li>
<li>5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.</li>
<li>Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier management.</li>
<li>Excellent analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.</li>
<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with suppliers and internal teams.</li>
