<p><strong>Procurement Specialist</strong></p>
<p data-start="893" data-end="1139">General Matter is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) team. This role is central to our efforts to design and build manufacturing facilities that will enable domestic nuclear fuel production.</p>
<p data-start="1141" data-end="1557">This position supports EPC projects, including NRC-regulated environments, and is responsible for executing sourcing, negotiation, purchasing, and supplier management activities. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, construction, quality, and project teams to ensure materials and services are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li data-section-id="1vry3le" data-start="1585" data-end="1711">Execute procurement activities across EPC projects from requisition through delivery, closeout, and documentation turnover</li>
<li data-section-id="155f5v7" data-start="1712" data-end="1838">Review purchase requisitions, scopes of work, technical specifications, and commercial terms for completeness and accuracy</li>
<li data-section-id="1e8hj21" data-start="1839" data-end="1922">Develop sourcing strategies and identify qualified suppliers and subcontractors</li>
<li data-section-id="2n09jb" data-start="1923" data-end="1992">Prepare and issue RFQs, bid packages, and supplier communications</li>
<li data-section-id="16izbsc" data-start="1993" data-end="2080">Evaluate supplier proposals based on cost, schedule, technical compliance, and risk</li>
<li data-section-id="ys8crc" data-start="2081" data-end="2193">Support and lead commercial negotiations including pricing, terms, delivery schedules, and change management</li>
<li data-section-id="1sq6f3f" data-start="2194" data-end="2268">Issue and manage purchase orders, service agreements, and subcontracts</li>
<li data-section-id="16xlsr0" data-start="2269" data-end="2399">Partner with engineering, quality, and construction teams to align procurement with project schedules and execution priorities</li>
<li data-section-id="1jzf2ed" data-start="2400" data-end="2478">Monitor supplier performance and expedite critical materials and equipment</li>
<li data-section-id="nuofvg" data-start="2479" data-end="2571">Resolve issues related to schedule, quality, documentation, invoicing, and change orders</li>
<li data-section-id="iydjtx" data-start="2572" data-end="2668">Ensure supplier compliance with quality, inspection, testing, and documentation requirements</li>
<li data-section-id="1ut74xl" data-start="2669" data-end="2741">Maintain accurate, audit-ready procurement records and documentation</li>
<li data-section-id="y4p0nn" data-start="2742" data-end="2826">Provide regular reporting on procurement status, risks, and supplier performance</li>
<li data-section-id="b7hdqr" data-start="2827" data-end="2926">Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and supplier management practices</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Basic Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li data-section-id="1cmq01c" data-start="2958" data-end="3089">Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience</li>
<li data-section-id="1xc0xud" data-start="3090" data-end="3222">5–8 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain, preferably in EPC, construction, or industrial environments</li>
<li data-section-id="1xw676w" data-start="3223" data-end="3315">Experience sourcing materials, equipment, and services for technical or capital projects</li>
<li data-section-id="ck3fkw" data-start="3316" data-end="3421">Familiarity with procurement processes including RFQs, bid evaluations, and purchase order management</li>
<li data-section-id="6od92e" data-start="3422" data-end="3505">Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications</li>
<li data-section-id="12oj9jg" data-start="3506" data-end="3571">Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills</li>
<li data-section-id="1syne7v" data-start="3572" data-end="3622">Strong written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li data-section-id="1bufcvr" data-start="3623" data-end="3694">Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Skills and Experience:</strong></p>
<ul data-start="3737" data-end="4214">
<li data-section-id="15swkem" data-start="3737" data-end="3825">Experience in highly regulated industries such as nuclear, energy, or infrastructure</li>
<li data-section-id="tdj6o9" data-start="3826" data-end="3928">Familiarity with quality standards, supplier qualification, and documentation control requirements</li>
<li data-section-id="19mtf1p" data-start="3929" data-end="3997">Experience supporting large capital projects or EPC environments</li>
<li data-section-id="1awaovb" data-start="3998" data-end="4081">Knowledge of contract terms, commercial risk, and supplier management practices</li>
<li data-section-id="1buaolr" data-start="4082" data-end="4148">Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards</li>
<li data-section-id="15121wq" data-start="4149" data-end="4214">Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPPB, or equivalent</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Additional Requirements: <br></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.</li>
<li>Open to travel. </li>

<p><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></p>
<p>The base salary range for this role is <strong>$90,000–$160,000 </strong>annually. </p>
<p>Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. <span data-teams="true">Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and may be adjusted based on market conditions, business needs, or other factors. </span>In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.</p>
