Collaborate with cross-functional experts to transition cutting-edge concepts through prototyping and into mass-produced consumer electronics. Your expertise will drive innovations in mechanical engineering, CAD design, and high-volume manufacturing processes.</p> <h4 class="text-xl font-bold my-4">Responsibilities</h4> <ul class="list-disc list-inside my-4"> <li class="my-2">Lead the mechanical design process for components or systems, ensuring comprehensive understanding from concept to product launch.</li> <li class="my-2">Develop and refine mechanical solutions collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.</li> <li class="my-2">Create, test, and iterate on prototypes and characterization testing systems.</li> <li class="my-2">Oversee the entire product development cycle, from initial concept through to final product shipment.</li> <li class="my-2">Coordinate closely with Asia-based Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth production transitions.</li> <li class="my-2">Implement advanced technologies and innovative approaches to address complex mechanical engineering challenges with cross-department collaboration.</li> <li class="my-2">Travel to vendor sites as required, up to 20% of the time.</li> </ul> <h4 class="text-xl font-bold my-4">Minimum Qualifications</h4> <ul class="list-disc list-inside my-4"> <li class="my-2">Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.</li> <li class="my-2">8+ years of industry experience in mechanical design.</li> <li class="my-2">Proficiency in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis, functional dimensioning, geometric tolerancing, and 3D/2D CAD.</li> <li class="my-2">Solid understanding of material properties, including plastics, metal, adhesives, and glass.</li> <li class="my-2">Strong background in testing and analysis methods, such as FEA, Simulation, and Design of Experiments.</li> <li class="my-2">Experience with high-volume manufacturing techniques, including stamping, machining, and injection molding.</li> </ul> <h4 class="text-xl font-bold my-4">Preferred Qualifications</h4> <ul class="list-disc list-inside my-4"> <li class="my-2">10+ years of experience in product design and development for handheld and wearable electronics in high-volume manufacturing, with a focus on full system ownership.</li> <li class="my-2">Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Mechanical Engineering.</li> <li class="my-2">Proficiency with NX design software.</li> <li class="my-2">Experience collaborating with industrial design teams on products with cosmetic surface treatments.</li> <li class="my-2">Expertise in designing for human factors in consumer electronics.</li> <li class="my-2">Ability to communicate in English.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p> <p>Delart provides competitive benefits and compensation across all regions where we operate.
