What You’ll be Doing
- Support in the design process: research, discovery, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and developer handoff.
- Building and maintaining a design system, style guide, and component library that scales with our growing product.
- Partnering with Product and Engineering to translate ideas into thoughtful, user-friendly solutions.
- Conducting user interviews and usability testing, using feedback to refine and improve the experience.
- Connecting directly with customers to ensure solutions meet real-world needs and stay easy to use.
- Creating interactive prototypes to validate ideas quickly and collaboratively.
- Iterating on designs based on feedback, performance data, and usability insights.
- Contributing to front-end code (HTML, CSS, React) to speed up delivery and ensure fidelity.
- Improving Figma workflows and documentation to make life easier for the whole team.
- Advocating for great design across the organization and sharing knowledge to raise the bar for everyone.
What You Offer Blue J
- 5+ years in UX/UI or Product Design, with a portfolio of impactful, shipped products.
- Experience building and scaling design systems and encouraging adoption across teams.
- Comfort with modern design tools (Figma, Miro, Jira) and strong familiarity with front-end code (HTML/CSS/React).
- A collaborative approach to working with developers, product managers, and stakeholders in an agile environment.
- Clear communication skills and a thoughtful approach to explaining design decisions.
- A passion for usability, accessibility, and creating experiences that delight users.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset — you see opportunities to make things better and act on them.
