To enable this high-performance every team member enjoys full autonomy over their location (we’re remote-first).</p></div><p>We're looking for a <strong>Senior Product Designer</strong> to own and elevate our end-to-end native app experience at refurbed, on iOS and Android.</p>
<p>We're looking for someone who raises the bar, who brings new perspectives, strong product judgment, and the kind of experience that improves how we discover, design, and evaluate opportunities. This is not a role for maintaining what we already have. You'll bring new capabilities that push our team further. Our ambition is for the app to become a personal refurbed in your pocket. We're investing in an experience that earns a place on our customers' phones by making every visit effortless.</p>
<p>You'll own that native app experience end to end and shape where it goes next. Your job is to discover where a native-only experience creates real value for our customers, then prove it and bring it to life. You will collaborate closely in your new squad with product managers and engineers to define the future of our mobile experience. Together, you will create memorable and innovative experiences for sustainable shopping.</p>
<p><strong>WHO YOU ARE:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>You’re a native app expert. You have 5+ years designing iOS and Android apps that shipped to real users. You understand how native interaction and motion differ from the web, and you know when to follow platform conventions and when to flex them. If your work is mostly responsive web, this role is not the right fit.</li>
<li>You lead with discovery, not execution. You're comfortable in highly ambiguous problem spaces. You identify opportunities without a predefined roadmap, frame strategic bets, and determine what evidence is needed before investing in a solution. You find the cheapest way to test the riskiest assumption first, and you can say what would make a bet fail. You care about outcomes you can measure, not output, and you can point to the difference your work made.</li>
<li>You're analytically sharp and research-led. You read dashboards and interpret quantitative signals yourself, without a data team to translate for you. You pick the right method for the question, whether that's a usability test, a discovery interview, or a diary study. And you use data to challenge your own assumptions, not just to confirm them.</li>
<li>You communicate with influence. You can present, defend, and adjust your design reasoning in front of people who push back. You take direct feedback well and you align a squad around user needs rather than opinions.</li>
<li>You thrive cross-functionally. You work naturally with Product, Engineering, Data, and Research. You bring engineers in early to understand what is feasible, and you share ownership rather than working in isolation.</li>
<li>You put AI to work. You use AI tools in your own practice and can point to specific ways they have made you faster or helped you think differently. You're also genuinely curious about where AI-assisted shopping is heading and eager to explore it.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Location & eligibility:</strong> This role is open to candidates based in Europe (including UK) only with a valid right to work.</p>
<p><strong>WHAT YOU'LL DO:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>You own the end-to-end user experience of our native app (iOS and Android), with clear ownership of core app journeys and close collaboration across embedded mobile web touchpoints.</li>
<li>You discover where native gives us an edge. Our app today is largely a wrapped web experience. Your job is not to rebuild the website natively. It is to find the moments where a native-only experience creates meaningfully more value for our returning customers, and to prove it.</li>
<li>You act as a full partner in the product trio, not a designer waiting for requirements. You help decide which problems are worth solving, challenge assumptions with evidence and customer understanding, and shape product direction alongside your PM and engineers.</li>
<li>You validate ideas through continuous experimentation, de-risking the riskiest assumptions early and iterating toward measurable impact.</li>
<li>You set the design vision for the app and bring new shopping experiences to life, contributing to a cohesive and scalable design system.</li>
<li>You partner closely with engineers to ensure feasibility, accessibility, performance, and implementation quality on both platforms.</li>
<li>You explore new ways of working with AI to speed up how your team shapes product experiences.</li>
