The position

We seek an experienced
Senior Product Engineer
to join Yaga’s product engineering team. If you are eager to make an impact by building a
mobile-first marketplace
that changes the future of shopping and is up for the challenges of building a consumer product for emerging markets, join our mission-driven team.

As a product engineer, you will be responsible for building, maintaining and scaling Yaga’s mobile-first marketplace. You will work closely with our cross-functional product development team and other customer and growth-focused teams. As one of the early members of Yaga’s Product Engineering team, you will significantly impact the growth of the whole company.

In addition to a solid software engineering background, our ideal candidate has experience building a mobile-first product, is familiar with best working practices and collaborates well with different teams. It is expected that every employee is not only responsible for their daily tasks but positively impacts the ways of working and the team environment.

Requirements & Skills

• 5+ years of experience in engineering
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and processes
• Experienced in working with the following key technologies: Node.JS, React Native, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS, Cloudflare, Docker, Git
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability and initiative to take ownership, while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Experience in start-ups / scale-ups consumer-facing companies
