We work across public sector and enterprise, at the intersection of AI, automation, and product-led transformation.</p> <p>If you’re the kind of person who asks “why” before “how”, who measures success in outcomes not story points delivered, and who thrives in ambiguous, high-stakes environments – read on.</p> <h3><strong>What You'll Do</strong></h3> <p><strong> Discover and Define the Right Problems</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead deep-dive discovery with clients, users, and stakeholders to surface real pain points</li> <li>Apply structured root-cause techniques (5 Whys, problem trees) to separate symptoms from causes</li> <li>Translate messy, ambiguous challenges into sharp, data-backed problem statements</li> </ul> <p><strong> Drive Outcomes, Not Output</strong></p> <ul> <li>Define success in terms of measurable business outcomes before a single line of code is written</li> <li>Build and own a metric framework — leading indicators, lagging indicators, and Value-Cost Ratio (VCR)</li> <li>Hold yourself and your team accountable to delivering real business value</li> </ul> <p><strong> Validate Before You Build</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design lean experiments, prototypes, and MVPs to test assumptions with minimum investment</li> <li>Prioritise ruthlessly using value-vs-cost frameworks; know when to stop as well as when to proceed</li> <li>Run structured A/B and user tests to validate product direction</li> </ul> <p><strong> Shape Exceptional Customer Experiences</strong></p> <ul> <li>Partner with designers to create intuitive, low-friction experiences for both enterprise and public-sector users</li> <li>Champion the user throughout delivery — from discovery to launch and beyond</li> </ul> <p><strong> Lead Stakeholders and Steer Decisions</strong></p> <ul> <li>Align cross-functional teams (policy, operations, tech, design) around a shared problem and priority set</li> <li>Facilitate difficult trade-off conversations with senior stakeholders; make the call when needed</li> <li>Communicate progress, risks, and decisions with clarity to all levels</li> </ul> <p><strong> Scale with Confidence</strong></p> <ul> <li>Guide products from Proof of Concept → Proof of Value → Scale → Maturity</li> <li>Identify and mitigate market, technical, and team risks at each stage</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement through structured retrospectives and metric reviews</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Who You Are</strong></h3> <p><strong>Must-Have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Problem-first mindset — you define problems before proposing solutions</li> <li>Outcome-driven thinking — you measure impact, not activity</li> <li>Relentless curiosity — you ask ‘why’ until you hit the real root cause</li> <li>Comfort with ambiguity — you structure the unstructured</li> <li>Bias for action — you run experiments rather than endlessly debating options</li> <li>Strong stakeholder communication — written and verbal, across all seniority levels</li> </ul> <p><strong>Good to Have</strong></p> <ul> <li>3–7 years in product management or product-adjacent roles (consulting, business analysis, solutions architecture)</li> <li>Familiarity with Agile / iterative delivery methodologies</li> <li>Exposure to enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow or Microsoft Power Platform</li> <li>Grounding in UX principles and data metrics / analytics</li> <li>Experience working with public sector or large enterprise clients</li> </ul> <p><strong>For Senior PM candidates (7+ years), we also look for:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ownership of complex, cross-organisational problem spaces</li> <li>Track record of driving product strategy, not just execution</li> <li>Experience mentoring PMs and shaping team culture</li> <li>Ability to influence at executive and board level</li> </ul> <p><strong>This role is not for you if…</strong></p> <ul> <li>You treat product management as a feature backlog and release schedule</li> <li>You jump to solutions before fully understanding the problem</li> <li>You measure your work by tickets delivered, not outcomes achieved</li> <li>You need a fully defined brief to get started</li> </ul> <h3>Why SimplifyNext</h3> <p>We partner with governments and enterprises to shift from project delivery to product thinking.
