You'll work at the intersection of meteorological science, aviation safety, and digital innovation to ensure Singapore maintains its position as a leading aviation hub whilst protecting public safety.</p> <p>Join us as we support Singapore's vision of building a Smart Nation - a nation of possibilities empowered through info-communications technology and related engineering, specifically within Meteorological Services Singapore's critical mission to provide accurate weather forecasting and warnings that protect lives and support Singapore's aviation industry.</p> <p>You will be involved in planning and executing the full product lifecycle for meteorological forecasting systems, including:</p> <p><strong>Crafting Custom Experiences for Meteorological Users</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Engage with meteorological forecasters, aviation authorities, and regional meteorological agencies to establish clear product visions for forecasting tools and systems</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate with the aviation community, flight planners, and international meteorological networks to define product requirements that meet WMO standards and aviation safety protocols</p> </li> <li> <p>Work out product outreach strategies with aviation stakeholders and regional meteorological partners</p> </li> <li> <p>Define go-to-market strategies for new forecasting capabilities and digital forecasting tools</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Designing and Testing Meteorological Solutions</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Design, test, and iterate forecasting workflows and digital tools that enhance meteorological forecasters' capabilities</p> </li> <li> <p>Manage product budgets for meteorological software, hardware, and specialised weather forecasting systems</p> </li> <li> <p>Develop workplans with meteorological technicians and forecasting teams</p> </li> <li> <p>Procure specialised meteorological software, weather data processing systems, and aviation weather services</p> </li> </ul> <p data-pm-slice="1 3 []"><strong>Understanding Meteorological and Aviation User Needs</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Conduct user studies with meteorological forecasters, aviation planners, and regional meteorological agencies</p> </li> <li> <p>Analyse weather data usage patterns and forecasting accuracy metrics to inform product decisions</p> </li> <li> <p>Research international meteorological practices and emerging weather forecasting technologies</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Translating Meteorological Requirements into Technical Solutions</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Convert complex meteorological and aviation requirements into actionable technical specifications</p> </li> <li> <p>Support development teams in understanding meteorological data formats, WMO standards, and aviation weather protocols</p> </li> <li> <p>Evaluate weather data processing solutions and forecasting model integration options</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Driving Adoption Across Aviation and Meteorological Communities</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Drive adoption of new forecasting tools among internal meteorological staff and external aviation users</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain networks with ICAO, WMO, regional meteorological centres, and aviation authorities</p> </li> <li> <p>Participate in meteorological conferences and aviation forums to promote Singapore's forecasting capabilities</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Ensuring Meteorological Compliance and Safety</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Ensure products meet WMO standards, ICAO requirements, and aviation safety protocols</p> </li> <li> <p>Coordinate with international meteorological networks for data exchange compliance</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain 24/7 operational readiness for critical weather warning systems</p> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p data-pm-slice="1 1 []"><strong>Essential Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or related field with minimum 5-7 years of relevant product management experience</p> </li> <li> <p>Prior working experience in technical product management, preferably in data-intensive or mission-critical systems</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience working directly with engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams (ideally at least 3 years)</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work with complex technical requirements</p> </li> <li> <p>Excellent communication skills with ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience with modern product development practices (Agile, Design Thinking, Product-Centric Development)</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to manage products that serve both internal technical users and external professional communities</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Strongly Preferred:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience in meteorological systems, aviation weather services, scientific data management, or related technical domains</p> </li> <li> <p>Understanding of real-time data processing, API development, or 24/7 operational systems</p> </li> <li> <p>Familiarity with international standards, regulatory compliance, or multi-stakeholder environments</p> </li> <li> <p>Background working with government agencies, aviation industry, or scientific communities</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience with data-intensive products or systems that require high reliability and accuracy</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Degree or coursework in Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, Aviation Management, or related scientific fields</p> </li> <li> <p>Knowledge of meteorological data formats, weather forecasting workflows, or aviation weather requirements</p> </li> <li> <p>Understanding of WMO standards, ICAO requirements, or international data exchange protocols</p> </li> <li> <p>Relevant certifications in project management (PMP, Agile, Scrum Master) or
