What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will be the voice of our product, ensuring both our customers and internal teams are empowered with the knowledge they need to succeed. Your impact will be felt across the entire product lifecycle through:

• Creating High-Impact Documentation: You’ll collaborate with development and training teams to produce clear, concise, and technically accurate help materials, including feature overviews, rollout instructions, and "how-to" guides.
• Visual Storytelling & Design: Beyond just words, you will develop infographics, videos, and images that make complex ideas easy to grasp. You’ll also support UX initiatives by designing application icons and web graphics that align with our brand.
• Knowledge Transfer: You will play a key role in internal staff training, ensuring our team stays up-to-date with new product features and updates.
• Continuous Improvement: You’ll proactively review and revise existing content to ensure it stays aligned with our evolving product suite.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: By participating in stand-ups and documentation reviews, you’ll work closely with Scrum Managers and Business Analysts to capture and address customer documentation needs.

Required Skills

• Exceptional Writing: The ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
• Design Proficiency: Practical experience with tools like Adobe Photoshop or Affinity, and a solid eye for UX/UI consistency.
• Tech Savvy: Familiarity with documentation software (Google Workspace), web publishing tools like WordPress, and the use of AI tools to streamline content production.
• Multimedia Experience: Ability to create engaging video content or interactive guides.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within a fast-paced software development environment, attention to detail and process-oriented.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience as a Product Specialist, Technical Writer, Product Writer, or similar role in a tech or related company.
• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience as a Product Specialist, Product Writer or Technical Writer in software or related sector.
• Experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and working with software teams to build products would be an advantage.
