As a Production Coordinator at our central commissary in Woodbridge, you'll own the day-to-day operational and administrative functions that keep production running, from purchasing and inventory to logistics, record-keeping, and compliance. You'll report directly to the Production Manager and work closely with the R&D Chef and Bakery Supervisors.
What you'll be doing
- Manage the full supply chain cycle, placing purchase orders, confirming received goods, and processing invoices accurately and on time.
- Coordinate logistics for daily and weekly deliveries across multiple routes, including scheduling and route planning for 7-day delivery coverage.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts for ingredients and finished products; investigate and resolve variances between physical stock and the ERP system.
- Work closely with production and sales teams to support planning and demand forecasting, flagging shortages or timing issues before they become problems.
- Keep all data in our ERP system current and accurate, purchase receipts, batch records, inventory movements, and order confirmations.
- Conduct supplier outreach to collect and maintain up-to-date compliance documentation (GFSI, Kosher, Halal certifications).
- Support process improvement initiatives and special projects as the business grows.
What we're looking for
Must have:
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, someone who notices when something is off and fixes it
- Comfortable with computers; proficient in Excel and Word for tracking, reporting, and documentation
- Able to manage multiple priorities at once without dropping the ball on the details
Nice to have:
- Experience with an ERP system (Acumatica, NetSuite, Aptean, or similar), training provided if not
- Familiarity with food safety programs such as GFSI, GMP, or HACCP
- Prior experience in a production, operations, or supply chain coordination role
