About the role

Mission Brief  As a Senior Production Engineer, you will serve as the technical authority and process owner for electrical/electronic assemblies and wiring harnesses, covering assembly, endofline testing, and industrialisation. You own the transition from prototype and preseries builds to stable, serial production, ensuring that Electromechanical and electronic products (E/E systems or Avionics) meet stringent performance, functional safety, and reliability requirements for series manufacturing  You will drive process capability, production readiness (MRL/TRL), efficiency, and equipment strategy while guiding technicians and junior engineers. You will collaborate closely with design engineering, AIT, quality, supply chain, development programs, and external suppliers to deliver scalable, highly reliable avionics production processes.   Your Role in Our Space Mission:  <ul> <li>Own the end-to-end manufacturing process for Own the end-to-end manufacturing process for complex electronic and electromechanical systems, including assembly, integration, routing and interconnection concepts, termination, and acceptance testing.  </li> <li>Lead industrialization and New Product Introduction for new hardware systems, control plans, process capability studies, and production validation processes.  </li> <li>Production Management: Oversee daytoday production activities for system assembly and integration, ensuring adherence to production plans, quality standards, and safety requirements.  Define, approve, and manage investments in tooling, test equipment, fixtures, workstations, and measurement systems. </li> <li>Own cost, schedule, and capacity planning for production, including forecasting, optimisation, and continuous improvement of takt time, throughput, and resource utilization. </li> <li>Work with design, R&D, and other teams to ensure manufacturing, assembly, and testing are smoothly integrated into product development and production. </li> <li>Monitoring ongoing production and ensuring compliance with legal regulations and standards are also part of the role.</li> </ul> Engineers with backgrounds in automotive E/E industrialisation, complex electronics manufacturing, or regulated hardware systems typically adapt very successfully to this environment. What makes this innovative and responsible position even more interesting is the further development of serial production in a rapidly growing company operating in a future-oriented market.  Qualification Checklist  <ul> <li>7+ years of experience in industrialized production of complex, safety critical hardware systems, such as electronics, electromechanical assemblies, or integrated system assemblies, ideally in regulated manufacturing environments. </li> <li>Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent education</li> <li>Proven ownership of production processes in an industrial environment (e.g. automotive, EV, aerospace, defense, high-tech, or similarly regulated industries). </li> <li>Strong understanding of electrical and electronic integration including interconnects, harnessing or cabling concepts, connectors, shielding, routing, termination methods, testing, and system integration. </li> <li>Experience with creation, optimisation, or restructuring of production procedures and work instructions  </li> <li>Experience in lean manufacturing, risk assessment</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex assembly issues </li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously</li> <li>Project management skills, including effective communication skills </li> <li>Fluent English, German knowledge is a plus</li> </ul> Bonus Skills <ul> <li>Previous experience in a similar position as process engineer or assembly engineer</li> <li>Aerospace experience, preferably with electrical vehicle development</li> <li>Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory related to harness assembly </li> <li>Prior experience using CAD and programming languages </li> <li>Ability to read P&ID and Fluid Drawings</li> </ul> Benefits  <ul> <li>Employee Participation Program: Share in our success through our virtual company share program</li> <li>30 days of vacation: Enjoy the days off to relax and recharge </li> <li>Company pension plan: Secure your future with our company pension plan, featuring a 20% employer contribution after the probation period</li> <li>Subsidised lunch: Stay energised with delicious, subsidised lunches every day</li> <li>Public transport ticket: Commute with ease using a fully financed Deutschlandticket</li> <li>Rental clothing with laundry service: Enjoy hassle-free workwear with our convenient rental clothing and laundry service   </li> <li>Sport Clubs membership: Stay fit with our sponsored sports club memberships (EGYM Wellpass)</li> <li>Individual learning allowance: Grow your skills with an individual learning budget granted after the probation period</li> <li>Childcare allowance: Receive a childcare allowance for your non-school-age children</li> <li>And Much More!
