About the role

Production Management

    • Integrating KAIZEN and Lean methodologies across all production function.
    • Introducing AI and AI tools heavily in the production process.
    • Oversee daily operations of date sorting, grading, packing and processing.
    • Ensure production targets, efficiency, and quality standards are met.
    • Optimize production schedules to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.
    • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity

Quality & Food Safety Compliance

    • Ensure adherence to food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO, BRC) and customer requirements
    • Work closely with the quality team to maintain high product standards.
    • Implement corrective actions to address quality deviations.
    • Conduct routine audits and inspections to ensure compliance.

Workforce Management & Development

    • Lead, train, and develop the production team to enhance skills and performance.
    • Ensure proper workforce planning, including seasonal staffing needs.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
    • Monitor and improve labor productivity while maintaining high morale.

Maintenance & Equipment Efficiency

    • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance plans are executed to minimize downtime.
    • Work closely with maintenance team to optimize machine performance.
    • Identify and implement automation or process improvement to enhance efficiency.
    • Maintain records of equipment performance and maintenance activities.

Supply Chain & Inventory Coordination

    • Coordinate with farm and supply chain teams to ensure a steady supply of date, raw materials, and packaging.
    • Optimize inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
    • Ensure proper storage and handling of dates to maintain quality.
    • Align production planning with sales forecast and customer demand.
    • Monitor report the dates inventory based on the categories and grads.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

    • Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with HSE regulations.
    • Implement and enforce workplace safety policies and best practices.
    • Conduct safety training and ensure the use of PPEs and proper hygiene practices.
    • Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and drive safety culture.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

    • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, efficiency, and quality.
    • Prepare reports for senior management with insights and recommendations.
    • Use data-driven decision-making to improve processes and reduce waste.
    • Implement and monitor cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Agriculture Engineering
  • 6-10 years of experience in food processing, FMCG, or Agri-industrial operations, with at least 3-5 years in managerial role.
  • Hands-on experience with AI Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies is a MUST
  • Strong background in Production Planning, quality assurance, and process optimization in a factory environment
  • Experience in managing seasonal workforce operations is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety and Compliance with international standards (BRC, ISO 22000, GMP, HACCP).
  • Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of team development and performance management
