About the role
EMS, Thin Metal Parts is seeking a dedicated and skilled efab operator to join our dynamic team. This position requires a keen attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Summary: Prepare and process electroplating equipment to produce parts for customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate cleaning and plating processes.
- Process parts through the appropriate chemical baths, following run sheets.
- Perform chemical additions as specified by lab.
- Use a micrometer to measure parts, perform calculations and adjust process parameters.
- In-process inspection of parts using naked eye and magnification.
- Transfer of chemicals to and from electroforming/photo areas.
- General maintenance of equipment and housecleaning of all areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Other Considerations:
- Demonstrable basic PC skills.
- Able to read blueprints/drawings.
- Ability to follow run sheets and enter data where applicable.
- Ability to multi-task (work in different areas of building on different products simultaneously)
- Experience with chemicals and knowledge of safety protocols preferred.
- Some heavy lifting may be required.
- Fluent in English, written and verbal skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
