Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Job Summary

This position supervises all 2nd shift Production employees as assigned and complies with all safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping standards.

• Supervises all assigned personnel and operations.

• Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.

• Maintains reporting accuracy (worksheets and Oracle) and timeliness.

• Reviews daily (shift) production schedule to plan work and personnel assignments for the shift.

• Reports any process and equipment problems and follows up until resolved.

• Trains and measures production performance of assigned operators.

• Organizes work (schedule, set-ups, tooling availability) for smooth operations utilizing established "best business practices".

• Ensures that established policies, rules, regulations and procedures are followed.

• Responsible for all assigned processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping of the area and for meeting production quality and quantity standards.

• Troubleshoots problems as they occur.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Responsible that the correct material in the correct amount is issued to each job

•Able to set priorities and follow up daily on department performance.

•Degree or Junior college training in mechanical technology or equivalent manufacturing industry experience is advantageous.

•Must have excellent problem-solving skills.

•The employee must have the ability to perform inspection functions such as visual inspection to detect cosmetic defects and color differentiation of products. • Must have strong communication skills.

•Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. Any unscheduled absence or tardy will have a negative impact on our ability to meet our production objectives.
