Our company continues to deliver record sales led by a talented team and a commitment to “Fun Served Here”.</div>POSITION SUMMARY:    Supervise the activities of production personnel engaged in all facets of the manufacturing function. Maintain an open line of communication regarding problems, breakdowns and anything that may affect schedule reliability.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:    Ensure timely and effective Production line start-ups (6 lines).   <ul> <li> Effective labor crewing for all positions for each line-producing product. </li> <li> Placement of temporary personnel labor positions for coverage of attendance issues.  </li> <li> Obtaining and staging of all raw materials necessary for the entire shift production. </li> <li> Evaluating and receiving all bulk inventory ingredients for usage and storage. </li> <li> Producing product efficiently in agreement with production schedule. </li> <li> Ensure all personnel comply with GMP, Safety and food safety procedures.  </li> <li> Oversee mixing of dough batches in accordance with formula specifications.  </li> <li> Oversee the mixing of remix batching to specifications.  </li> <li> Ensure the product lines are produced at proper line speed and proper product weight. </li> <li> Oversee and ensure proper color, bake and shape is achieved for all products scheduled. </li> <li> Oversee the shift handling of all ingredients to be in compliance with food safety.  </li> <li>Monitor the freezing temperatures of our entire freezer spirals and scheduled defrost times.  </li> <li> Complete all necessary reporting of payroll time for their respective employees.  </li> <li> Oversee the timely random product weight sampling efforts of line personnel.  </li> <li> Ensure all shift personnel work safely and that machinery defects are reported timely. </li> <li> Handle all disciplinary matters in dealings with personnel when necessary. </li> <li> Oversee the proper completion of all HAACP reports. </li> <li> Provide training for employees in the areas of: Safety, GMP and Food safety.  </li> <li>Initiate a daily labor schedule for needed personnel for following days schedule.  </li> <li> Calculate and track usage of materials from the mixers batch sheets.  </li> <li> Perform random plant safety audit and submit correctional work orders to maintenance.  </li> <li> Attend meetings as scheduled and directed by management. </li> <li> Track all shift downtime in production and have maintenance perform shift repairs.  </li> <li>Maintain logs for bulk ingredients receiving line change sanitation.  </li> <li> Prepare weekly bulk material ordering/delivery schedules. </li> <li> Report all attendance personnel issues to the HR department. </li> <li> Interface with all management personnel of all departments. </li> <li> Recommend any and all changes or problem areas in operation to Dir. of Mfg.  </li> <li> Prepare Production Efficiency Report at end of shift.                </li> </ul> While this job description may not encompass every detail of a supervisor's daily activity, it must be understood that these responsibilities above are the “Baseline” for an effective shift management within the production environment.   COMPETENCIES:    To perform this job successfully, the Production Supervisor must be self-motivated, able to solve problem problems, detail-oriented, and able to stay on task.
