About the role

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially driven Profit Centre Head to lead and expand our Raw Cashew Nut business in Vietnam. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy, managing supplier and customer relationships, driving profitable growth, and owning the financial performance of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial & Trading

  • Develop and execute the overall commercial strategy for the Raw Cashew Nut business.
  • Build, manage, and expand a profitable book of business.
  • Identify and secure new suppliers, processors, exporters, and customers globally.
  • Negotiate procurement and sales contracts to maximize profitability.
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key market participants.
  • Monitor market developments, pricing trends, supply-demand dynamics, and competitor activities.

Profit & Loss Ownership

  • Assume full accountability for the profit centre's financial performance.
  • Deliver annual volume, gross margin, and profitability targets.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
  • Optimize commercial opportunities while maintaining disciplined risk management.
  • Monitor and improve working capital utilization and inventory performance.

Procurement & Supply Chain

  • Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, execution, and operations teams.
  • Ensure timely delivery and quality compliance across all transactions.
  • Develop efficient supply chain solutions to improve competitiveness and service levels.
  • Support contract execution and dispute resolution when required.

Business Development

  • Expand TORQ's presence in Vietnam and international markets.
  • Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and trading partnerships.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, and trade events.
  • Promote TORQ's brand and strengthen market positioning within the cashew industry.

Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing local team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, commercial excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and develop employees while ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience within the agricultural commodities sector.
  • Significant experience within the Raw Cashew Nut industry.
  • Proven track record in international commodity trading and commercial management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a business unit, profit centre, or trading desk.
  • Strong network across suppliers, exporters, processors, traders, and buyers.
  • Experience in export markets, logistics, and commodity supply chains.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Economics, or a related field.
  • MBA or Postgraduate qualification preferred.
