<p> </p></div><p><strong><u>POSITION DESCRIPTION</u></strong></p>
<p>LISC seeks a Program Assistant who will serve as a strategic operations partner within the LISC Illinois Program Office. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong customer service and multitasking abilities, a customer focused mindset, and the ability to manage deadlines effectively. This hybrid position requires weekly in office presence at LISC’s Chicago office and reports directly to the Deputy Director of the LISC Illinois Program Office. The Program Assistant will support core administrative, operational, and compliance functions, including but not limited to the following:</p>

<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>
<p>General administrative support</p>
<ul>
<li>Serve as an administrative lead for the LISC IL Program Office.</li>
<li>Coordinate office management tasks including workspace and conference room reservations for the program office staff.</li>
<li>Maintain the LISC Illinois Contact Management System.</li>
<li>Provide administrative and organizational support to program staff on events and meetings as needed.</li>
</ul>
<p>Financial Management and Grants Management</p>
<ul>
<li>Manage the submission and tracking of vendor payments.</li>
<li>Oversee and submit expense reports for senior leadership.</li>
<li>Ensure grantees, consultants, borrowers and vendors are set up in LISC systems.</li>
<li>Support LISC IL program staff in advancing and managing grants and contracts. This will include monitoring grants and contracts through the approval process and supporting program staff on disbursements and reporting.</li>
<li>Work with program staff to track, log, review and compile needed documentation from partners and grantees.</li>
<li>Coordination with partners and LISC program staff to get appropriate documentation for processing payments pursuant to grant agreements and address inquiries from partners regarding grants, contracts, invoices, and other financial matters relating to their grants/contracts with LISC.</li>
<li>Align with LISC’s national and local team to support grant management through tracking progress, processing financial reports, and supporting grant compliance.</li>
<li>Provide support on LISC donor management and stewardship in coordination with senior leadership.</li>
<li>Support lending staff in working with prospective borrowers to secure required due diligence for underwriting.</li>
</ul>
<p>Other Operational Support</p>
<ul>
<li>Develop and maintain strong working relationships with local Program staff and National LISC Operations staff.</li>
<li>Maintain proficiency with LISC systems (examples: Salesforce, Perform Yard, NetSuite, Emburse etc.) to conduct job functions successfully and independently.</li>
<li>Assist with other projects and duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or relevant work experience.</li>
<li>Proficient in MS Word, Outlook. Intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel.</li>
<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills, including effective interpersonal and collaboration skills.</li>
<li>The desire to learn, take on new projects, and advance current skills.</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills; efficient and detail-oriented; strong skills in communicating progress on projects and duties.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and collaborate and forge strong relationships across diverse teams.</li>
<li>Knowledge of community development is a plus.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>COMPENSATION:</strong></p>
<p>LISC offers a competitive salary ($54,455-$60,000) and excellent fringe benefits.</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p>*Actual salaries may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.</p>
