Senior Project Controller - Bristol, UK (Hybrid Working)

The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using industry-standard planning tools. 
•  Lead project planning and scheduling activities throughout the project lifecycle. 
•  Monitor project performance against baseline schedules, budgets, and key milestones. 
•  Produce accurate forecasting, earned value analysis, and performance reporting. 
•  Identify schedule risks, delays, and opportunities, recommending mitigation strategies. 
•  Facilitate project governance, reporting, and stakeholder review meetings. 
•  Establish and improve project control processes, standards, and methodologies. 
•  Support programme and portfolio-level reporting and performance management. 
•  Provide risk and issue management oversight. 
•  Mentor and support junior Project Controllers and PMO professionals. 
•  Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Significant experience in Project Controls, PMO, Project Planning, or Programme Controls environments. 
•  Strong expertise in schedule management and project performance reporting. 
•  Experience working on large, complex projects or programmes. 
•  Advanced knowledge of planning tools such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project. 
•  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
•  Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities. 
•  Experience presenting project performance information to senior management. 
•  Ability to work in a fast-paced consulting and client-facing environment. 

Desirable Experience

•  Aerospace, Defence, Engineering, Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Energy, or Technology sector experience. 
•  Earned Value Management (EVM) expertise. 
•  Risk management and quantitative analysis experience. 
•  PMO leadership experience. 
•  Professional certifications such as APM, PMP, MSP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
