<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><a href="https://www.takealot.com/">takealot.com</a>, South Africa's leading online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Project Manager-Retail Media to join our Retail Media Team in Cape Town.</span></p>

<p>This position reports to the<strong> Group Executive: Advertising</strong></p>
<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong></p>
<p>Brand Presence & Social Media Marketing</p>
<ul>
<li>Execute LinkedIn content calendar and posting schedule to position our retail media team as industry thought leaders</li>
<li>Coordinate regular content posts showcasing team achievements, case studies, industry insights, and company culture</li>
<li>Collaborate with team members to gather success stories, client wins, and expertise for social sharing</li>
<li>Monitor engagement metrics and provide insights to support content strategy optimization</li>
<li>Coordinate submission processes for identified speaking opportunities, awards, and PR initiatives</li>
<li>Manage other relevant social media channels and professional platforms as needed</li>
</ul>
<p>Content & Design Collaboration</p>
<ul>
<li>Act as primary liaison between retail media team and content/design teams</li>
<li>Brief content team on marketing material needs, messaging priorities, and brand guidelines</li>
<li>Coordinate with design team on visual asset creation for presentations, social media, and marketing collateral</li>
<li>Manage content approval workflows and ensure timely delivery of creative assets</li>
<li>Maintain brand consistency across all team communications and materials</li>
</ul>
<p>Retail Media Marketing Materials Management</p>
<ul>
<li>Own the upkeep and version control of all pitch decks, ensuring latest capabilities, case studies, and performance data are reflected</li>
<li>Regularly audit marketing materials (one-pagers, capability decks, client presentations) for accuracy and relevance</li>
<li>Coordinate quarterly reviews of all sales enablement materials with stakeholders</li>
<li>Create and maintain a centralized repository for marketing assets and templates</li>
<li>Ensure all materials align with corporate brand guidelines and messaging frameworks</li>
</ul>
<p>Internal Onboarding & Documentation</p>
<ul>
<li>Develop and maintain comprehensive onboarding documentation for new retail media team members</li>
<li>Create welcome guides, process documentation, and resource directories for new hires</li>
<li>Coordinate onboarding schedules including introductory meetings, training sessions, and system access</li>
<li>Maintain updated internal wiki/knowledge base with team processes, tools, and best practices</li>
<li>Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key team workflows</li>
<li>Gather feedback from new joiners to continuously improve the onboarding experience</li>
<li>Partner with HR to ensure seamless integration of company-wide and team-specific onboarding</li>
</ul>
<p>Website Content Management</p>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate with web team to ensure retail media section features current offerings, case studies, and team information</li>
<li>Prepare content briefs for website updates based on stakeholder direction</li>
<li>Source and prepare content inputs (copy, images, videos) for website publication</li>
<li>Monitor website analytics and report on content performance</li>
<li>Ensure website reflects latest product launches, partnership announcements, and thought leadership</li>
</ul>
<p>Online Academy & Educational Content</p>
<ul>
<li>Liaise with team subject matter experts to gather feedback and coordinate identified improvements to online academy content</li>
<li>Support content development process for training modules, tutorials, and educational resources</li>
<li>Work with instructional designers and content creators to refresh existing academy materials</li>
<li>Collect user feedback and stakeholder input on academy offerings</li>
<li>Track academy engagement metrics and report on performance</li>
</ul>
<p>Event Planning & Execution</p>
<ul>
<li>Plan and execute team events including client workshops, networking events, webinars, and industry conferences</li>
<li>Manage event logistics from concept through post-event follow-up (venue selection, catering, A/V, attendee management)</li>
<li>Coordinate speaking opportunities and booth presence at industry conferences</li>
<li>Create event marketing materials and promotional campaigns</li>
<li>Manage event budgets, vendor relationships, and attendee communications</li>
<li>Organize internal team events and celebrations</li>
</ul>
<p>Merchandising & Corporate Gifts</p>
<ul>
<li>Source, design, and manage branded merchandise inventory (apparel, promotional items, office supplies)</li>
<li>Coordinate corporate gift programs for clients, prospects, and partners</li>
<li>Manage relationships with merchandise vendors and ensure quality standards</li>
<li>Track inventory levels and coordinate reorders as needed</li>
<li>Develop seasonal gifting strategies aligned with key business moments</li>
</ul>
<p>Budget Management & Vendor Administration</p>
<ul>
<li>Process invoices and purchase orders for marketing activities, events, and merchandise</li>
<li>Manage vendor contracts and payment schedules to ensure timely processing</li>
<li>Track departmental spending against budget and flag discrepancies</li>
<li>Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and vendor agreements</li>
<li>Reconcile monthly expenses and provide budget status reports</li>
<li>Coordinate with finance team on payment approvals and documentation</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualification & Experience:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: bold;"><strong>Minimum National Diploma in Marketing, Business, Project Management</strong></li>
<li style="font-weight: bold;"><strong>3 - 5 years coordinator project management or advertising experience</strong></li>
<li style="font-weight: bold;"><strong>Project management software (Asana, Trello, Monday.com, etc.)</strong></li>
<li style="font-weight: bold;"><strong>Microsoft Office Suite / Google Workspace (advanced)</strong></li>
<li>Social media management platforms</li>
<li>Analytics tools (web analytics, social media insights)</li>
<li>Design collaboration tools (Figma, Canva, etc.)</li>
<li style="font-weight: bold;"><strong>Basic knowledge of Looker Studio or other reporting tools (Power Bi, Tableau) for data extraction and success measurement</strong></li>
<li>Training material coordination</li>
<li style="font-weight: bold;"><strong>Advanced Google slides / PowerPoint skills</strong></li>
</ul>
