We are currently seeking an experienced and talented Project Manager to join our high performing team.
REPORTING TO: Contracts Manager
LOCATION: Co Kildare
CONTRACT TYPE: Full-time, permanent
HOURS: Monday – Friday
Role Responsibilities
- Be accountable for the safe delivery of allocated projects to the client’s specification, ensuring that project objectives, agreed timescales, and budgets are delivered. The Project Manager will apply the project management processes set out by the client throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop project plans and schedules and execute plans to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Meet agreed objectives in the areas of timely delivery, cost, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Manage complete day to day life cycle of a project from initial stages through to hand-over.
- Co-ordinate project activities in accordance with company Quality Systems, Standard Quality Procedures and Engineering Specifications.
- Manage and monitor resources to ensure they are available across disciplines to deliver the project.
- Work with the client and key stakeholders to establish effective collaborative relationships, supporting effective delivery, performance measurement, and management of change.
- Provide accurate project performance data to senior managers and company directors on a periodic basis.
- Ensure proactive risk management is adhered to ensuring periodic review and action with the project team.
- Manage client reporting as required including periodic project reports, programme updates, KPI data, performance, and other requirements as specified
- Manage the project EHS requirements including RAMS.
- Actively support & encourage the client’s HSQE principles across the project
- Periodically audit site management systems to ensure compliance with company requirements.
- Support the strategy for the closure of defects during defects period and obtain certificate of Making Good Defects within targets set.
- Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.
- Manage the day-to-day site operations of subcontractors on site.
- Manage the workflow of sub-contractors ensuring they are in line with the program of works on site.
The Candidate
Qualifications & Experience:
- A degree / Higher Diploma qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
- A minimum of five years project management experience with a Main Contractor in Ireland
- Experience in large scale, high head count sites.
- Public works, Form of contract experience
- Residential Experience desirable
Skills & Attributes:
- The ability to demonstrate excellent working knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standards.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- An ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Be methodical, pay attention to detail and be accurate.
- Good at working with people at all levels and willing to work in a team.
- Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative
