Innovation Industries department at NYCEDC oversees real estate and capital projects, financial incentives, government wayfinding and regulatory reform, and workforce initiatives and diverse entrepreneurship programs to ensure New York City remains a global leader in innovation, and that we provide pathways of opportunity for all New Yorkers in our tech, green economy, climate tech, and creative industries.    The Green Economy team at NYCEDC utilizes these levers to deploy clean energy technologies at scale, accelerate the commercialization of climate technologies, advance construction innovation and the sustainable bioeconomy, and electrify buildings citywide, with a focus on economic justice.    The Project Manager (PM) will support established and emerging projects with research and ideation, strategy development, procurement, launch, ongoing oversight, and closeout, and will coordinate cross-functional project teams, communicating with multiple internal and external stakeholders, both public and private, to advance organizational and Green Economy Team goals. The PM will work in a matrixed environment working on projects that span industries such as sustainable bioeconomy, climate tech, mass timber construction, battery energy storage, and building electrification.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  <ul> <li>Lead project planning and tracking, and coordinate cross-functional project teams, to ensure objectives are achieved and timelines are met.   </li> <li>Support program management including tracking of project milestones, driving program excellence through our operators, reporting on metrics, impact and financial performance, and managing stakeholder relationships. </li> <li>Support project estimating, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring accurate planning and accountability.   </li> <li>Support procurement drafting, outreach, due diligence, respondent selection, contracting and underwriting documentation, and supervision of implementation.   </li> <li>Conduct research, data gathering and analysis, financial modeling, and expert interviews, to report on industry trends and needs, regulatory challenges, policies, industry dynamics, and news.    </li> <li>Draft presentations and memoranda for key stakeholders including senior EDC staff, City Hall staff, partner agencies, and external partners.   </li> <li>Assist with engagement of private, public, and nonprofit entities such as industry and academic partners, workforce development organizations, business development entities, and regulatory and public agencies to advance Green Economy priorities.      </li> <li>Execute events such as roundtables and advisory council meetings, preparing EDC speakers with background research and talking points.   </li> <li>Actively contribute to team building, staff and departmental development.  </li> </ul> QUALIFICATIONS:  <ul> <li>Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree relevant to the green economy preferred.   </li> <li>2+ years of professional experience in a relevant field such as clean energy infrastructure development, corporate business development, or management consulting.    </li> <li>Demonstrated proficiency with industry research, project management, and financial analysis   </li> <li>Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking    </li> <li>Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing needs and opportunities    </li> <li>Demonstrated analytical and problem solving, with a proven ability to creatively navigate and solve complex challenges    </li> <li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while meeting deadlines  </li> <li>NYC residency is required within 180 days of
