Job Description: Project Manager, Utility & Infrastructure


The Project Manager leads the execution, financial performance, and customer success of complex utility and infrastructure projects across the LiveWire Utility & Infrastructure business unit. This role provides end-to-end leadership for multiple projects and project teams, ensuring safe execution, schedule adherence, cost control, quality delivery, and strong customer relationships while driving consistency, accountability, and operational excellence.

Compensation:


  • Base salary: $115,000K–$135,000K commensurate with experience

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple utility and infrastructure projects from turnover through closeout
  • Own project planning, staffing, procurement, scheduling, execution, and risk management
  • Deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements
  • Manage revenue, cost, gross margin, cash flow, forecasting, billing, and change management
  • Develop accurate budgets, cost reports, productivity tracking, and monthly forecasts
  • Identify operational and financial risks early and implement mitigation strategies
  • Review contracts, scope requirements, and commercial terms to protect company interests
  • Lead change order development, issue resolution, and support documentation
  • Conducts quality control inspections on project sites to verify work is completed in accordance with quality standards and contract specifications in efforts to avoid unnecessary re-work 
  • Ensures that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely manner  
  • Implement and execute quality control plans 

 

Performance Measures

Success in this role will be measured by safety performance, project profitability, forecast accuracy, schedule adherence, quality of execution, change order capture, customer satisfaction, and team leadership effectiveness.

This position plays a critical role in converting backlog and opportunity into disciplined, high-quality, profitable execution while strengthening customer confidence and supporting the continued growth of the Utility & Infrastructure business unit.


Preferred Experience & Leadership Profile

  • 10+ years of project management experience in utility, electrical, infrastructure, or heavy civil construction
  • Proven success managing complex or multiple concurrent projects with full financial accountability
  • Strong knowledge of utility construction methods, field operations, contract administration, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Experience with electric distribution, substation construction, storm restoration, medium-voltage infrastructure, or related utility work preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and customer relationship skills
  • Practical, solutions-oriented operator with sound judgment, urgency, and accountability
  • Ability to coach project teams and align office planning with field execution


Education and Experience: 

  • Previous experience as a Field Operations Manager required 
  • Good standing with union if required 
  • Experience in reading blueprints, building plans, and specifications  
  • Experience reading contract documents 
  • Ability to read plans and specifications, and review installation drawings, Labor review and tracking
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficient, Excel expert
  • Current OSHA 30 certification required
  • Current First aid / CPR required
  • Must submit to background check, physical, credit check, and MVR
