About the role
<p><strong>The Role:</strong></p>
<p>Your primary responsibility will be valuing real estate properties and building evidence to defend your constructed valuation, then discussing with government tax assessors. This role spans, sales, marketing, business development, and operations. At Ownwell, you will have the opportunity to wear many hats and learn an exorbitant amount. This role is a contract position during the duration of the tax season.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>:</p>
<ul>
<li>Conducts informal appraisals, examining and evaluating residential and commercial properties, to establish market values.</li>
<li>Responsible for the aggregation, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of complex appraisal-related market data through internal and outside sources</li>
<li>Completes formal property tax appeal rebuttals</li>
<li>Reviews the comparative market analysis reports and make valuation judgments</li>
<li>Discuss and defend valuations</li>
<li>Maintain knowledge of localized real estate markets, property tax trends, zoning laws, and appraisal theory.</li>
<li>Maintain familiarity with necessary data sources</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Education preferably in related subjects such as Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Business or Real Estate</li>
<li>3+ years of professional experience in real estate, market research, or related field</li>
<li>Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills</li>
<li>Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills</li>
