About the role
<p><strong>Who We're Looking For</strong></p>
<p>Quantum Space is redefining mobility and maneuverability in space. Our high-mobility spacecraft platforms support national security, civil, and commercial missions with unmatched flexibility and propulsion capability. We build fast and iterate quickly.<br><br>We are seeking a Technician II – Propulsion to support the assembly, integration, testing, and fueling of spacecraft propulsion systems and components. This role is ideal for a technician with several years of experience in spacecraft, aerospace, automotive, or related technical industries who can independently execute propulsion AI&T activities while supporting mission-critical spacecraft development and flight operations.<br><br>You will work closely with propulsion, mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and test engineering teams to support development and flight spacecraft programs. This is a hands-on role focused on execution, troubleshooting, hardware integration, and safe propulsion operations.</p>
<p><strong>Where You'll Make an Impact</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Perform assembly, integration, and test (AI&T) activities on development and flight spacecraft propulsion systems and components</li>
<li>Perform hazardous spacecraft fueling and propellant handling operations in accordance with approved procedures and safety requirements</li>
<li>Contribute to the design of spacecraft propulsion systems and components by providing feedback on manufacturability, integration, and testability.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot propulsion hardware and test issues and provide feedback to engineering teams</li>
<li>Support spacecraft integration and mission readiness activities</li>
<li>Operate within fast-paced development environments supporting high-reliability spacecraft systems</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What It Takes</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or GED</li>
<li>3+ years of relevant experience performing assembly, integration, and test activities in the spacecraft, aerospace, automotive, or related technical industries</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to own completion of tasks with minimal oversight</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Nice-to-Have Experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated ability to perform AI&T and fueling tasks for spacecraft propulsion systems</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to perform semi-automated tube welding</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to review, interpret, and execute AI&T procedures</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience performing spacecraft fueling operations</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience performing leak checks, pressure testing, and fluid system verification</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to machine aerospace-grade components using CNC equipment</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience creating and interpreting CAD models and engineering drawings</li>
</ul>
