Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering a comprehensive and engaging Psychology curriculum to students across Key Stages 4 and 5. The role entails fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, analytical skills, and a lifelong fascination with the complexities of human behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver captivating Psychology lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school's educational ethos.
  • Create a stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and participation.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Social Sciences department and across the school to enrich the learning experience.
  • Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in Psychology research and teaching methodologies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Psychology or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Psychology at the secondary level, preferably across Key Stages 4 and 5.
