About the role
Role Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Lead to drive quality across the entire product lifecycle. This role combines hands-on testing, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure we deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality products. You will play a key role in shaping QA processes, improving product quality, and embedding a strong quality-first mindset across the team.
Quality Assurance:
Lead QA efforts across the product lifecycle: From requirements gathering to post-release validation, ensure quality is a priority at every stage.
Manage the QA team: Mentor, guide, and oversee the work of other QA team members. Assign tasks, track progress, and provide feedback.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases: Create detailed test plans covering functional and regression testing. Maintaining test cases for the product test cycle.
Implement and maintain QA processes and tools: Establish best practices for testing, defect tracking, and reporting. Evaluate and implement appropriate QA tools.
Perform various types of testing: conduct functional, regression, sanity, and smoke tests.
Identify, document, and track defects: Accurately report bugs and issues, track their resolution, and ensure proper closure.
Collaborate with development teams: Work closely with developers to understand product functionality, identify potential issues, and ensure timely bug fixes.
Analyze test results and provide reports: Generate comprehensive test reports, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
Project Management:
Communicate product updates and changes: Effectively communicate product updates and changes to stakeholders.
Participate in Sprint Planning: Actively engage in planning sessions to define and refine acceptance criteria, ensuring early alignment between product requirements and testability.
Coordinate Release Cycles: Manage QA release cycles across development, staging, and production environments, and participate in release demos to facilitate stakeholder sign-off.
Facilitate Process Improvement: Lead regular QA retrospectives to review testing outcomes, identifying process gaps and driving continuous improvements in the development lifecycle.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Maintain ongoing collaboration with product and engineering teams through regular syncs, ensuring the QA schedule remains aligned with the product roadmap and delivery timelines.
Qualification
At least 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing
Proven experience leading QA teams
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes
Experience with test planning, test case design, and execution
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
