About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory financial statements in line with local requirements
- Prepare audit deliverables
- Ensure timely & satisfactory completion of audits under Local GAAP
- Maintain Local GAAP ledgers ensuring information is updated in a timely and accurate manner
- Prepare US GAAP quarterly controls, including post submissions analytics
- Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders in market finance and GBS.
- Act as a first point of contact for key stakeholders, both internally and with external parties
- Support implementation of new business technology and reporting tools around financial statement preparation
- Contribute to team effort and assist other colleagues as needed
- Proactively identify, rectify and follow-up on local accounting issues arising
- Ensure adherence to controls and a robust controls culture
- Identify opportunities for process continuous improvement and implement solutions
- Support departmental, ad hoc and other projects as required
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- University Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
- Qualified Accountant or equivalent
- Knowledge and practical experience of Local and US GAAPs preferred
- Minimum 3+ years of related accounting experience required
- Strong accounting, interpersonal, analytical and organisational skills a prerequisite
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and handle conflicting priorities
- SAP experience preferred
- Proficiency in PC skills (inc. Word and Excel)
