About the role
Job Purpose:
To ensure that all vehicle components, assemblies, and final products meet quality standards and specifications by conducting inspections, identifying defects, and enforcing compliance with internal and external quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming vehicle components and parts for conformity to specifications.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections during vehicle assembly stages.
- Document and report non-conformities, defects, and deviations from standards.
- Perform root cause analysis and assist in corrective and preventive action implementation.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues.
- Maintain detailed inspection records, checklists, and reports.
- Use measuring and testing tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in quality audits.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve assembly processes and product quality.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of experience in quality control or inspection in the automotive or vehicle assembling industry.
- Strong understanding of vehicle components, assembly processes, and quality standards.
- Proficient in using inspection tools and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation practices.
